Leaving for AF BMT Tuesday, any advice/tips?

See above ^^Leaving for AF BMT Tuesday, any advice/tips?
Follow directions precisely as given or watch others who go before you. Realize you are entering an incredible organization and there are rules for everything you do-how to eat, walk, turn corners, everything.

Tell family and friends that the first phone call will be just to give an address-make sure they have paper/pen ready. It will probably be a day or two (or more depending of the Training Instructor) before you call. Your TI will be watching everything you do. Don't try to sneak anything into the dorm-they always get caught and the entire flight might suffer.

Drink lots and lots of water. Have envelopes and stamps for letters home-although you may not have much time to write. Let family know that they should keep writing even if they don't hear from you. You may not have much time to write or call home. Usually it was after dinner time (around 6:30 ct) when we heard from our son. Calls will be limited in length and number. Bring your cell phone. They will take it but you will get it back when you head off to tech school.

Go to the church services offered on Sunday. They are a great release for everyone. Just pick a service.

Never be late, and take it seriously. Take care of your wingman-best of luck and thank you for serving our country!Leaving for AF BMT Tuesday, any advice/tips?
Prepare yourself for the mental game that is about to begin. They are going to break you down from the civilian minded person that you are now and make you the military person that you will need to become. Don't fight it even though somethings might seem silly. They want you to be able to follow orders and get everyone to work together as a team. Pay attention, follow orders, and stay out of trouble. You will be fine.
That other guys i right! don't horse around or play any kinds of games. and hope you got a good troop make every one work as a team!!!

(they can hold you back and make you repeat some weeks- made family of mine redo half of it bc they where playing around)
