Can somebody give me tips/advice for my Junior year in high school?

As many of you that went through the high school years..you know that junior year is tough and challenging. I need help and advice/tips from many of you about how to succeed during this tough time of year for high school students. Many of you wanted to go to a great college so what did you do during your junior year that made you really stand out from the many college applicants? I know getting good grades is the main thing but there's so much more than that, isn't there? I get good grades but I want to do MORE than just get good grades. I want to STAND out..show the COLLEGE WORLD who I really am! Amaze them and let them know that I'm not just any ordinary person. Do any of you guys can share tips and advice for this? Thanks so muchCan somebody give me tips/advice for my Junior year in high school?
I really enjoyed my last two years of high school. This only happens once so make sure you enjoy it!

That said, make sure you do not let your grades slack, if anything try to do better. When applying to schools, they will look at your junior year grades (generally speaking).

Try to get involved in a student organization. Reach for a leadership position. Try to lead your organization to accomplish something outstanding and unique.

Volunteer if you can. If you must work, try to gain a leadership role there.

Seek out new and unique experiences. If you have a chance to build homes in another state, do that. If you have an opportunity to go abroad for study, do that.

Good luck! And have fun! It's your junior year! You only have one more year left! Can somebody give me tips/advice for my Junior year in high school?
1. GRADES, having a 3.5 or above is great.

2. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, now those are what make you stand out. You should reach for leadership positions in whatever organization you choose.

Good Luck. Everything else will just fall into place..What school do you want to attend?
Extracurricular activities help a lot. Mock trial, candy-striping, helping the homeless, and even water polo are awesome ways to stand out in a room full of sheep. Good luck!

How to have style, tips & advice please? (:?

How can I have more style? I love stores like Hollister %26amp; Abercrombie %26amp; American Eagle, not just because of their logos or anything, but I love that kind of style. I don't really have much money these days to spend on clothes, so I have to be really thrifty...how can I still have style without spending a ton? Should I just buy more cheaper clothes like Forever 21 or should I invest in more expensive pieces, or a little of both? I am 14, so I can't get a job, but I'm a freshman and I really want more style!!! :) As I said before, I love clothes from American Eagle %26amp; Hollister especially but it's so expensive sometimes. I want to wear more than jeans, but that's all I really wear currently...PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks!!!! :)How to have style, tips %26amp; advice please? (:?

I am going to go tanning for the first time. I can't decide if I want to be nude. Advice and tips for tanning?

What kind of beds are best, lotions, What should I wear?I am going to go tanning for the first time. I can't decide if I want to be nude. Advice and tips for tanning?
I've tried nude, but the heat your bottom can get really uncomfortable, not to say painful, so I recommend just topless. If you burn easily, be very careful and start slow, don't use lotions at first. And if you're naturally pale, be realistic - it will take you a long time to get to bronze, and it's probably not healthy to go that far.

Ironically . . . I live in South Korea right now, where I am constantly complimented on my ';very white'; skin, for which I am derided at home in WI, and where women spend vast amounts of money on skin whitening lotions and creams and treatments. Meanwhile my friends at home are giving themselves cancer to be dark-skinned. What a world.I am going to go tanning for the first time. I can't decide if I want to be nude. Advice and tips for tanning?
Study nudity from the sites listed in my answer to you. you may find that becoming a naturist (nudist) is really great. the fear usually lasts only about 15 to 30 minutes. I promise you will meet some of the greatest people in the world and the safest place to be. Enjoy life to the fullest!

Don't wear anything, unless you want tan lines.

Don't go in for the maximum amount of time at first, you might get burned.

Also, I prefer the stand up models as opposed to the beds. Some beds don't have good ventilation and your sweat will start to pool under you. No joke, you will start boiling your skin and have blotches.
Nude on the beach in the sun with proper Sun block. you want to protect your self from the UV as well as the IF rays.
Start off with a low amount of time, so you do not burn. Gradually work your time up. I say go nude, and make sure the bed has been cleaned. Personally, I tan easily so I do not use tanning lotions. Ask the people at the tanning salon which ones are best. Some will make you burn.
I just would not... for obvious health reasons...

Nothing beats heathy colors that comes from exercises good food habits and normal sun exposure...
That is a decision you need to make for yourself. If you don't mind tan lines then wear something if you would be embarrassed not to do so. Otherwise be nude.

My advice is to stay away from tanning machines as the increased risk of melanoma cancer is greatly increased. It may not show up for years but there is a greater risk for cancer.

On the other hand, you may want to find a naturist (nudist) resort in you area and tan there with no lines. Although the sun can cause the same Melanoma cancer you can control the amount of sun you get with tanning oils (something you generally cannot use in a tanning machine)Also you will be around some of the greatest people and not all alone as you are in the machine.

Contrary to many peoples belief, Naturist resorts are not sex parties. Try anything like that and you will be told to leave. Most resorts are very family oriented and lots of fun.

Check out the web sites I have listed below and learn much more about naturist resorts.
i would wear a strapless bikini top, thats it n your first 2 times you should go 10/15 min,if you dont use the tanning lotions ,you should put lotion on when u get home,n u wont see results 4 a couple of hrs.
I find booths to be better than the beds; and nude is the best way to get an even tan.
when u go outside apply sunscreen lotion and wear slightly dark colours bcoz dark colours protect sunrayz
nude is the right way
I wouldn't suggest nude, try topless. Always have your bottom covered.
Go nude! Feels great, even tan, use lotion.

Ladies, crazy situation. Tips, advice, insight?

Shortest I can make it. We love each other. We know it. We've shown it. But she's afraid to move on b/c of something MAJOR in her past that is stuck between us right now. (I think I know what happened but not 100% sure) Now the more we hang out, the more...torn (?) she becomes b/c it's like she wants to get past it but she isn't ready to give up this wall she has up yet and I am the reminder it is there. So what do I do? I have seen the woman I love, and still do occasionally, but often I see this other side of her, which is fun and outgoing but unwilling to commit to anything at all in any area of her life (friends, family, me). I want to be there for her and always will be b/c we are great for each other, but how far can I go? I don't want to fall back into friend zone, I don't want a sex buddy, either, and I certainly don't want to push her away nor do I want to let her get too far away. Anyone else at a loss? Thought I'd also say she is worth every ounce of energy I have in me.Ladies, crazy situation. Tips, advice, insight?
Then be there for her, carry on doing what your doing.. Its hard and it will only get harder but have to show her your willing to put the effort in you could be the best thing that will eva happen to this girl. Stick at it. Show her you are there for her when eva where eva what eva the reason. As long as she feels comfortable around you and she feels she can talk to u it will be fine. The only thing you two should both do is promise to be honest with each through and about everything break it and you'll lose everythign keep it and she will come round.

What eva has happened in her past it sounds like its going to be really ahrd for her to get ova this but she will it may take days weeks months probably years and even if u two do get together dont expect it not to crop up every now and then cos it will.

My advice is do nothign stick at it your working towards it you just need to give her time but keep going it sounds like your doing a good job of it at the moment keep going...Ladies, crazy situation. Tips, advice, insight?
See if she will go to counseling with you. If she wants a future with you she needs to get over the past.
affirm your love and committment to her and in the meantime, don't push. Find a third party mediator, a pastor, a counsellor, a female professional who will let her spill the beans and move on with you. She is probably so afraid her secret will drive you away that she needs the other outlet. When you have found someone on your own, suggest that she confide in that person and let hr know that you will never learn of it, unless she decides at some future date. Give her the out tactfully and let her know you are doing this because of your love. She might well take the offering and love you even more if she learns that she must rid herself of this and that your relationship does not depend on whether you know or not.
Well honestly you need to talk to her about it, ask her what happened and if there is any way you can help her. If she says no then you have to back off the subject. But you have to let her know that you love her and want to be with her and that shes the one you want to be with show her you care about her do little things for her. In time she will she what a wonderful guy she has and she will come to you. But you have to be there for her. I went threw something close to this but like her I was the one putting the wall up because of something that happened in my past it took time and a good guy to help me threw it. But she will come around.
It's sounds like you need to get a life. She is obviously A crazy B**ch.get rid of her,If she loved you like you thought she did,she will wake up,and apologize for treating you Bad.!
Sounds like she needs therapy or you both need couples counseling. Suggest that to her. If she really loves you she would be willing to get the help she (and you both) need. Otherwise you might be spinning your wheels for a very long time.
Fix it if you can,if not get over it.If you aren't happy she won't be either.

  • DESPERATLY Seeking Advice/Tips regarding paying $1,100 debt to creditor!?

OK Here's the story. I'm a 22 yr old female. I have several companies I owe money to and get letters from creditors (debt I racked up when I was irresponsible at 18)

I have worked very hard and saved my money to pay off my first creditor I owe (Verizon) the amount $1100.

I do NOT have a bank account and CANNOT get a bank account (long story I owe them money too)

I do NOT have a credit card

HOW do I pay this debt? I am skeptical of getting a money order and mailing it .. I looked into Netspend.com for prepaid credit cards but it takes 7-10 days to arrive.

Please help desp seeking advice need to get out of debt been too long

    Thank you so much

Blessed Be :)DESPERATLY Seeking Advice/Tips regarding paying $1,100 debt to creditor!?
Do not be so wary of money orders. They are fine, they are safe, they are traceable. I'm not sure of the fees, but I would check and see who charges the least amount of money to get one. Check with your local banks (don't need to have an account), grocery stores, post office, Western Union. Good luck to you and congratulations on working your way out of debt. A money order from Moneygram or Western Union is likely the best way. Just be sure that the Payee (Verizon) is filled out. They can track and verify that the Payee got the money should there ever be any question about it.
Why would you not want to get a money order, with the money order you write down the company you own money too, and then you SAVE a copy of the money order so that you can get that debt cleared off your record.

    GET A MONEY ORDER!!!!
verizon will work with you on setting up a payment plan,

just because you owe a bank money doesn't stop you

from opening one at a different bank. I had no problems

getting a second account. Besides you can send them

a money order and if you call verizon ask them where

the nearest payment center is and you can pay cash

    just keep your receipts.
I'm not positive, But can you not just go to the Verizon store and pay your bill?

Need info, tips, advices about the Airport, Airplanes?

I have never flied before. Can someone give any any tips about the airport, like how to find my flight, gates, terminals, stuff like this. any advices about the airport will be helpful for me.

ThanksNeed info, tips, advices about the Airport, Airplanes?
do some research about your carrier airline. its really not as bad as you think. chew gum during the take off and landing. your ears will kinda pop because of the height. before reaching the the security part (once your bags have been checked in) if you are wearing shoes that tie, go ahead and untie them, cause you have to take off your shoes.

*arrive two hrs before flight, take something to keep you busy, ipod,mp3 handheld games ect...

*if you can sit near the window, i know that is the last thing you would want to do, but it helps ease the nerves.

*keep things like boarding passes and id on your person

*pay close attention to signs at airport for where to go

*once you find you gate and you have time, go and explore in the gate area-there will be food, shops and things back there

    *keep listening for any updates

    *wear a watch

*expect long lines when checking in, boarding the plane, security as well

*it can sometimes be really cold, they might have blankets availble, but wear a light jacket and pantsNeed info, tips, advices about the Airport, Airplanes?
Relax, the whole things will probably be easier than you expect.

To clear a few things up:

';keep your boarding pass and I.D out constantly.

    they seriously make you show it like 10 times.';

I've NEVER had to show ID or boarding pass anything like ten times for any flight, including international flights. You will need to show your ID checking in, show your ID and boarding pass as you enter the security check, then usually show the boarding pass again just after you go through the metal detector, then show your boarding pass again to get on the plane.

    ';Don't try to take any liquids on the plane, they will make you throw it away when they check your carryon.';

Not quite right. Liquids in 3.4 ounce or smaller containers are permitted through security. They must be in one (per passenger) one quart clear plastic sealable bag, which you remove frm your carry-on bag and send through the x-ray separately.

You can carry those liquids onto the plane, and anything bought (or taken from the tap!) after security.

    ';also bring a sweater and chapstick. The planes are freaking freezing and dry out your lips.';

It can also be hot as blazes on the plane, sometimes hot and cold at different times during the same flight. Stuff the sweater in your carry-on. If you wear it you will probably have to take it off at security, Oh, and the chapstick is not a bad idea, but it needs to go in the baggie with your liquids.
keep your boarding pass and I.D out constantly.

they seriously make you show it like 10 times.

Go to the right terminal, pay attention to where you are walking. The gate signs are hanging from the ceiling in most airports.

Please don't stand in one spot on those speed walk way things. It annoys everyone.

Don't try to take any liquids on the plane, they will make you throw it away when they check your carryon.

don't say the words bomb or terrorists. they will tackle you and fine you a butt load of money.

wear shoes that are easy to put on since they make you take them off so they can check for whetever, and don't forget to take off your belt before you walk through the metal detector.

also bring a sweater and chapstick. The planes are freaking freezing and dry out your lips. And get there 2 hours early because they need you to check in an hour before the plane leaves and they board the plane 30 minutes before it leaves the gate.

And a big no no is never watch someone you do not know's carryon bag or don't ever leave yours anywhere! Some crazy person could like slip something in it and then you'd get in trouble.

and don't talk loudly on the plane.
    get there 2 hrs early

    don't be drunk . . .

be ready to have all your carry on looked at !

    Calculus- sequences advice, tips?

I can't do the exercise on my own, really appreciate if anybody can give me tips, advice on how to master this topic... To be honest, I don't really get the picture of what it's all about...Calculus- sequences advice, tips?
This question is very very vague.

The most fundamental series is the geometric series

    1/(1 鈭?x) = 1+x+x^2+x^3+...

You can prove this by defining:

    S = 1+x+x^2+x^3+...

    xS = x+x^2+x^3+...

    xS -S = -1

    S=1/(1-x)

You can integrate the geometric series to get:

    - ln (1-x) = x+x^2/2 + x^3/3 + ... where ln is the natural log

You can verify the exponential expansion easy enough

    exp(x) = 1 + x + x^2/2! + x^3/3! + x^4/4! + ...

This is the only infinite polynomial that every time you take the derivative you get the exact same polynomial. That's the definition of exp(x). It is a function that equals it's own derivative.

Since you know that sin(x) = - sin(-x) the series expansion must only be odd powers of x. And the 2nd derivative of sign must equal the negative of the original function.

    sin(x) = x - x^3/3! + x^5/5! ...

Just take two derivatives of the right hand side and you'll get the negative of what you started with.

    Similar argument for cos(x)

The first is that you may want to see if your local library offers free tutoring through the internet. Many libraries pay for their patrons to get free tutoring through a service such as tutor.com. If yours does, then you can use your library card to get one on one help with your problems

Dress like you would for your interview when you go apply for a job. You never know who will see you, or if you will have an on-the-spot interview. Don't show tattoos or piercings other then the ears. No weird hair styles or hair colors. Don't chew gum or wear a hat to your interview. Make sure you always have your resume and reference page available. Arrive about five minutes early to the interview. More then five minutes and you are usually just an annoying inconvenience. Right on time and they have already started wondering if you are going to show up. If the application is a paper Application make sure you use NEAT legible handwriting. If the application is on the computer ensure that you use proper punctuation. All caps on your name is usually a bad sign.... Ensure that you feel out all applications completely. Do not write, ';See Resume.'; Potential employers are looking for how much time you spend at one job. If you have multiple jobs that only lasted a couple months it is a bad sign unless they were seasonal or something. Make sure you don't give off to much of a smell...whether it is lack of shower or to much cologne. Use proper English when speaking to perspective employers- not slang or jargon. What is the best tip or advice to get any type of job?

Steps, tips, and advice to learning German fluently?

Linguists, and people with vast experience in learning languages will almost always agree on the fact that most language learning methods out there are 50-70 percent fluff! It's pretty easy to get away with telling you that you'll be able to speak a language when for example, someone says ';hello';, they're speaking English, and it doesn't mean they can actually communicate. Being semi-fluent means you have a functional comprehension of at least 65% in the conventional range of that language, while fluent would be anything greater than 80%. If you don't have the time to learn a language properly, and you're after something quick and easy, then you're probably headed towards disappointment. The best method to getting as far as you can get in the shortest period of time is called the “3 step”. The first step is to complete a FULL Pimsleur (MUST BE PIMSLEUR) course. Listen to each lesson at least 2 times, taking notes the first time with new vocabulary and studying before listening the second time. The 2nd step is to form a list of the 3,000 most commonly used words/vocabulary in English, to also include the eight parts of speech (verbs, nouns, pronouns, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections), which you can search the web for. Once you've formed the list, you need to find accurate generic-translations, which you can apply to most common case scenarios of that language(definatley the most challenging part of all this).Once that's done, make flash cards or whichever method works best for you in memorizing vocabulary, but try to include each word in a sentence, in addition to just the new word and it's meaning. After you've memorized all that, the 3rd step is to locate 4 movies that are preferably some kind of Disney movie, or anything of a slower pace. Childrens movies seem to work best for this. Watch the movie in the language you're trying to learn with good, quality English subtitles. Watch ONLY these same 4 movies continuously as much as possible, to the point where you know what's going to be said next. Try to plan completing each step in this order, exactly as described within a time-frame of about 8-10 months. When you're done, you should be somewhere in the range of “semi-fluency”, at the point where learning after the “3 step” is quick and easy, and being close to fluent after 2 years of using it everyday, and learning at least an additional 100 new vocabulary words a month during that time. You'll thank me when you're done!Steps, tips, and advice to learning German fluently?
The best way to learn a language is by using multiple methods. There are great computer programmes for learning languages out there, but they won't make you truly fluent, many of them are better at giving you a basic foundation for the language.

So if you want to use Rocket, Fluenz, or Rosetta Stone (all good programmes from what I've heard, though Rocket has a much better price than the other two). I've personally tried Rosetta Stone learning some German, and it does give you a good sense of the basics, but you need other ways to supplement your learning.

There are plenty of language books on Amazon that could help you, though try to get one that lets you write in it. Writing the language down by hand is good for helping you brain break everything down. Practising writing it down stimulate a whole other area of your bran than talking into a microphone to the computer.

Consider actual classes, if you live in a big city, it won't be hard finding schools that specialise in foreign languages. Having a live person there breaking it down is obviously a way different experience learning than sitting in front of a computer.

So just don't confine yourself to one method, and take it at a comfortable pace. If you try cramming it all in you won't enjoy learning the language and might become dissuaded. Just start with the basics and work your way through.Steps, tips, and advice to learning German fluently?
yeah, with german, the first step is to dig into (and i mean dig into) the grammar. english has lots of exceptions to rules which can make proficiency difficult for persons learning it as a foreign language, but its simplicity allows learners to begin using it right away. german requires learning a lot before you can really begin to use it significantly.

1 hour every day/week is way more valuable than 4 hours on two days/week. repetition is the key, as it is to any language learning.

in the presumtion that german is your first foreign language: one of the hardest parts of learning any foreign language is to ';let go'; of the ';way of thinking and way of looking at things'; that your mother tongue dictates. german tends to pile verbs at the end of the sentence, spanish often just leaves the pronoun ';I'; away and uses double negatives which then mean ';REALLY NO'; whereas double negatives would mean a positive in english, turkish uses ';infixes'; (like prefixes or suffixes, but in the MIDDLE of words - something completely unheard of in english) to modify words (';gelmek - to come, gelmemek - to not come';). if you have talent for abstraction and can ';let go'; and let the language make sense in and of itself instead of stumbling over how it's not like your mother tongue, that's a huge step.

when you're leaning, there are some shortcuts you can use. look for repetions in forms in the language like in german the Ge* nouns (Gesicht, Gesuch, etc) 70%+ of all Ge* nouns are neutral (definite article: das)

    good luck
Best advice for learning ANY language fluently is to study it first, then go immerse yourself. Best way to do that is to LIVE in the language-country for about four to 10 months...the longer you do, the longer the fluency will last when you return.
Just talk much and watching video with subtitle can help very fast

    hi there

For your face first of all, you have to keep it clean by using special face soap according to your skin type. try to wash your face at least 3 times a day. Secondly, put on some kind of masks frequently.

    '; Cucumber%26amp; honey are good - you will notice the diffirences if you use them twice a week';

    '; use fresh potato for your eyes area';

    '; use sun protection';

For your heels, keep it clean by washing them as mush as you can - I wash my feet when ever I go out - do massage if you have the massage machine for feets, for the rough surface use ';vasline for heels'; apply a layer and massage the area then scrap it with the black stone. also it is good if u uses creams and wear scoks over the night.

You'll build confidence and get better and better by doing this, because your mistakes will become very obvious to you, and become easy to fix. Find a talent show or something in your area. Also, practice a little on holding notes, because it seems like your voice breaks a little when you sing longer notes. Otherwise, I think you're fine. Good luck! Hope this helped. Can you give me some advice/tips on my singing?

    Study advice/tips/tricks/etc?

I just want to make it clear that I am not in formal schooling (so basically what I am saying is I dont want 10 replies telling me to listen and take notes). I am seeking advice for self-studying. It's you, the book, and the test. What are some effective techniques you use to help yourself study and retain infrmation. The subject matter is not vocabulary, essay writing, etc (so please none of those replies either) it is just plain information that needs to be memorized/retained. Thanks for the help!Study advice/tips/tricks/etc?
I don't know about you, but I am easily distracted. The best place for me to study was a garage in my stepdads place. There was not much to look at, no tv, the sounds from outside were dampened and nobody walked around in there. I think the best environment for studying is a place where you can concentrate with little distraction. Sometimes, you can read something, but you are not concentrating, so you're not really learning it.

As far as the technique goes, I used to read it through once quickly, then go back and do the highlighting. After that, give yourself a good break, relax, maybe even play some video games. The next day, go back and read the notes or the hightlighted parts and see how much is familiar and retained. If there is anything that is not completely familiar, read that paragraph again.Study advice/tips/tricks/etc?
read it over, then cover the book and try to say the same facts again. then check. if it's wrong try doing it again and again until you can remember the facts at the back of your head.
if you need to remeber words or objects or events in a particular order, make up a silly rhyme or phrase using the first letters of each word you need to memorize:

To memorize these 10 colours in order: [black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, gray, white], make up a phase that is silly, where each word starts with the same letter, like this: [better buy rusty old yucky golfs because volkswagens guzzle whisky]

Another method I use is to try to grasp the concept behind the information, rather than simply memorize a formula or whatnot.

Lastly, you can try teaching or relaying the information to someone else - this will keep you on your toes!

i Feed it Pinky`s [ BABY MICE ] is there anythinq else i should feed it ? Any thinq to keep it occupied it looks bored to me.All tips on how to care for a Snow Corn Snake ;; i`ll Take All Advice ;; Thank You. Can Anyone Help ?
Snakes are low maintenance as long as their basic needs are taken care of. Temps stay 85 over all, 90 on the warm side, about 80 cool side, depends on your bedding, they like to burrow so if you give it a lot of hides to run back in forth between. Pinkies are good for now but there is always the f/t frozen thawed or live pinkies. I give all my snakes live food including med rats to my ball python or pinkies to my own corn, Tremor. They don't really get ';bored'; because they are snakes. Regular handling will keep him tame so he won't bite, unless you give him a mouse and your hand still smells like mice, then you might get bit. Buy the way, how old/big it is? Sometimes you can feed them larger prey even though it might not eat it. Prey can be 1/3 BIGGER than the widest part of its body. Anything else just e-mail me, I'd be glad to help. All tips on how to care for a Snow Corn Snake ;; i`ll Take All Advice ;; Thank You. Can Anyone Help ?
as long as they're fed they're happy
The different sized mice you are feeding are a complete meal, so don't worry on that account. As for being bored, snakes aren't the brightest bulbs in the light show %26amp; as long as the basic needs are met; food, temp, fresh water, dry substrate, climbing branches, good hiding spot on either end of the cage, secure lid, your snake will be comfortable %26amp; healthy. You could try %26amp; toss a Frisbee with your snake, but my snakes refuse to give it back, so it makes for a slow game! Enjoy your critter!!
Yes, snakes look very bored in their cages. They just sit there. I've had one of my corn snakes for 10 years now, almost exactly 10 years, in fact. My otehr one I've had for 7 Do not feed anything else to the snake. When it gets bigger, you might try a small hamster, but mice are really all it needs. Just make sure the snake ALWAYS has fresh water
    2 pnts
no don't feed it anything other than that, if it looks bored take it out of the cage and hold it. look up ';corn snake care'; and you should get some care sheets that can give you some good tips. =)

Bamboozle '09 first timer. Any hints or tips or advice?

This is my first year going to Bamboozle and I wanted to know if anyone out there has any advice on what to wear, what to bring, how much money I might need, and all of that stuff. But I was wondering how the stages will be set up. Will there be seating, or will it just be moshing, or will I be able to stand back from all the chaos and still watch?Bamboozle '09 first timer. Any hints or tips or advice?
The stages will be set up through out the parking lot. There are no seats, and there will probably be moshing at the more hardcore bands.

You should bring money, ( I brought $200 last year, because I like to buy a lot of merch.) Cell phone, and camera, depending on your skin tone, you might want to wear sunscreen, if you burn easily. Just wear something comfortable, a hoodie is a good idea, it gets cold at night.

The food is expensive, so i'd eat before.Bamboozle '09 first timer. Any hints or tips or advice?
first let me sart out by saying. YOU WILL HAVE SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!

you will literally be high off the experience for daysssss after!

i went last year, and alot of the bands just literally walk around! i met part of scary kids scaring kids, and coheed and cambria.also, they tend to hang around their own merch tables.

most of the bands youll have a chance to meet, and that walk around, arent THAT big. although alot of bands have signings, even the bigger ones (the academy is had a signing last year, along with others)

unless they have a signing, its almost impossible to get a headliners autograph :(

dress comfortably. still look fab just in case you meet bands :) but you dont want to be uncomfy, trusttt me

dont bring much money at all unless you plan on buying shirts, hoodies ect.

if you want any specific tshirt, hoodie all that, get it early!! especiallyyyyy the shirts for the bamboozle festival themself. the line gets ridic after a shirt while, and they sell out.

dont bring alot of stuff, itll just get lost or stolen :(

the stages arent always set up the same, but close to the show (idk if its up yettt?) the website has a map of all the stages, and everything else. PRINT IT OUT ! ! ! it will some sooo much in handy!!!

really figure out who you want to see, where their playing, and when EARLY.i missed a couple bands i wanted to see because its so hard to find anything, it all looks the same lol

theres is noooo seats lol. LOTSSS of moshing though! it gets stupid. like moshing to mxpx? yes, of course that makes sense! moshing to motion city soundtrack? wtf?!?

you do have room to stand back away from all the moshing. but dont expect to be able to reallyyy seeee the band.

if there is some band you absolutely must see and will die if you are not 3 feet away from the stage, GET THERE EARLY!!!!!

i NEEDED to mee paramore last year [my FAV :)] and i got there 2 bands before they came on, and had a dreammmm spot to see them :) literally could see the raindrops on hayleys pretty face :)

    hope i helped!

    HAVE FUN !!!!!!!

Do you like this hairstyle?? TiPS/ADViCE PLEASE??!!?

    http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/p鈥?/a>

Is there a way i could get this hairstyle without it being too short??

also, when i go to a salon to get my hair like this, What do i ask for??Do you like this hairstyle?? TiPS/ADViCE PLEASE??!!?
that girl has choppy short layers. you need to ask for ';choppy layers'; tell them you want semi-short layers but you want to keep the lenth of your hair.Do you like this hairstyle?? TiPS/ADViCE PLEASE??!!?
Print off that picture and take it for reference. Any good stylist will adjust the cut to fit YOU. Also, if there is anything different between that cut and what you want, you need to tell them beforehand. Also, realize that before you get this cut that girls hair is incredibly styled. A cut will not look like that unless it is styled. It could be very high maintenance. But I do think it's cute on the right style of girl!

    Good luck!
It's a really nice style. Ask your hairdresser to keep your length after showing the picture. Maybe you could just have the fringe and the layers?

    Answer mine please?

i actually LOVE this hairstyle. but it probably wouldnt look the same longer.
It is very pretty the hairstyle. Iike it.

Traveling to Rome for first time - advice, experiences, tips?

Anything at all: what people usually wear over there, social customs, good places to go, restaurants, clubs, how many people speak English, is it easy to get lost, do they like Americans, is there much crime against tourists, etc.Traveling to Rome for first time - advice, experiences, tips?
Ah La Citt脿 Eterna! Che una bella citt脿. (Ah the eternal city. What a beautiful city!)

Congratulations! You are living millions of people's dream. You get to travel to the most beautiful country in the world. Italia! Lucky for you... I am here. An expert. I'll go through the list of what you have asked about...

What Italians Wear: It is not wonder that Italy is touted as having the greatest fashion in the world. And for good reasons. All the great fashion houses were born here. In fact some even say that fashion was born in Italy. One thing that you wont see a lot of is Blue Jeans. They are slowly growing popularity in the younger generations, but I find that Jeans are very hot and since Italy can be very hot it isn't practical to wear them. Whatever you wear you will not be looked at as crazy. They see millions of Americans all the time and know how to spot us out.

Social Customs: It is appropriate to see Italians kiss each other on the cheek when the greet each other. But Italians are a very emotional and temperamental peoples. They will be very formal with people they do not know very well. If you are planning on visiting the churches remember. Your knees and your shoulders MUST be covered or you wont be allowed in. You can carry a wrap for your shoulders. As for knees, it is customary for women to wear skirts and for men to wear trousers to enter a church. You can also do the wrap thing here. Some churches even sell wraps to the silly tourists who forgot about this rule.

Good places to go: Umm, here is the list of essentials...

The Colosseum, The Vatican, The Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, The Pantheon, and Campo d猫 Fiori. It is also impossible to realize the amazing amount of history that has taken place in the city over the centuries. There are a million other things not to be missed but if you have to choose the top sites. These are the ones that a trip to Rome should not be without. You can also look to the Via del Corso to guide your way through the city. It is the main drive through the city and goes from the Forum all the way up to the River on the north end of town. (I think it is the north... At least it is in my head). Don't forget to throw a coin over your shoulder at the Trevi Fountain. One coin says that you will come back to Rome. This hasn't failed me yet. Two coins means that you will fall in love, and a third coin is a bad omen. So stop at 2! You can also visit the Rome Tourist Center: Address: 5 Via Parigi.

Restaurants and Clubs: You can find these all over the place and they will live up to their name. You are in Italy and most restaurants are amazing. Ask the desk or the concierge at your hotel to recommend a place to eat. Or be brave and go somewhere off the beaten path (The prices will be cheaper but they may not speak Italian...it could be your chance to be brave and choose something on the menu that you have no idea what it is. My friend and I did this is Germany...choose the longest name on the menu and order that. It worked out deliciously every time.)

Clubs in Italy don't usually get hoping until 11 at night or even later, but they stay open until dawn. You may even find a breakfast club where you can continue your dancing once the sun comes up and order some breakfast.

English Speakers: Most younger Italians and those working in the service industry speak a minimal amount of English. You best bet is to carry a pocket dictionary and learn a few key phrases. If you want some essentials message me. I speak Italian fluently and I can help you out a little.

Getting Lost: Italy is a town that has grown up over centuries so it doesn't exactly follow a grid system. Always remember which direction Via del Corso is and you wont have too much trouble getting lost. And if you forget where that is ask someone. Dov'e il Coloseo? (Where is the Colosseum) The Colosseum and the Roman Forum are at one end of Via del Corso. Or if you are really lost jump in a cab and tell them the name of your hotel (Carry a business card for your hotel they usually have them at the front desk).

Do they like Americans? YES! Despite what anyone may say, they do like Americans. We bring tons of money to their country every year. How could they not like us. They really love it when Americans try to speak Italian. At least give it a try and then they will admit that they speak English and help you out.

Crime against Tourists: There are pickpockets in Italy. Many people make a career out of it. I have never had any problems with pickpockets in Italy. I also don't use a money belt. I carry a purse that has several pockets and a large closure, like a buckle. Wish we could embed photos in here. Anyways, I am not saying that pickpockets don't exist, but that they haven't been a severe problem for me. A good way to keep your passports safe (and yes people steal them to sell them on the black market) is to keep them in a money belt. Small pouch that hides under your clothing. The BEST way to protect yourself from pickpockets is to keep your eyes open. Think like a thief, and suspect everyone.

I've given you a bounty of knowledge. I hope it isn't too overwhelming!

Have a great time on your visit to la citt脿 eterna.Traveling to Rome for first time - advice, experiences, tips?

One of the beat things we did was invest in a 24 hour subway pass. We could get on and off when needed and it saved so much time when we had to get across town from the Vatican to the Roman Forum. Also, watch out for the ';tours'; they are not always worth the money they charge. We paid 20 euros for an English speaking one at the Colosseum and it was great since it included the Roman Forum, too. The one for the Vatican was charging 40 euros, not worth it in my opinion. We wanted to see that ourselves. If you go to the Vatican, see the museums around lunch time, the line will be much smaller. Also, see St. Peters in the evening, less people and so beautiful. We managed to time our St. Peter's visit with a mass going on at the same time, it really added to the whole experience.

A major thing, bring comfy shoes! Ones you can walk in all day bc you will be walking and walking. Cute ones that can hurt after an hour are not ideal and will ruin the rest of your trip.

And we found it pretty easy to get lost, but luckily it only happened when we were trying to get back to the car. The rest of the day was pretty easy since we started on side of the city and worked our way to the other. Try to work your visit so you arent going back and forth and wasting time.
hey me 2 going when u going
It's a pretty hectic city. Most restaraunt staff, near the tourist areas, are not Italian. And multi lingual, if they dont speak your language the next guy will. The locals you find in suberbs away from the center. If you intend to go to Vatican City or into the main churches dress conservativly Ie not shorts and reveling tops. And sensible shoes.

Most people you meet will be either tourists, officials and workers. Over the summer months, like Paris the locals take thier vacations and leave the city to the outsiders. Rome can be overpoweringly hot in July and August. In the days before aircon even the papacy retired to Frascati for these months.
Cover up for churches and the Vatican. You can not wear shorts and sleeveless tops. You're best with trousers, a shirt and comfortable walking shoes. Try to speak a little Italian as its good manners and the locals appreciate it. Lots of the younger Italians do speak English though. Take a look at where the locals dine and follow them. You'll need a good map but the city is easy to navigate. If you're going to the Vatican museums get there early as the ques are terrible. Crime is minimal and there are lots of police around but beware of pick pockets.

Here are a few sights that may be of help.

beautifull, bella, bellisima, ... buy in a COSTCO store or any bookstore a DK EYEWITNESS TRAVEL GUIDE - ROME- it's all you need, really cheap ($ 12.50 U.S.) and comes in a very handy size. Plenty of pictures and places to visit ... My own experience %26gt; visit the villa Borgesse,-(if you are into paintings and sculptures..) nice, cozy , not to big , not to crowded- like the vatican museums- About CRIME and that stuff : My own advise : never use a hand bag or purse, keep all your documents in a wallet on your front pockets, leave a copy of your documents at your hotel. we travel on metro and bus as late as midnight and did'nt have a single problem, (me and wife), we walk a lot at night , not a problem. Metro can be unsafe on peek hours (at 8 am,2pm,6pm)and the TERMINI central is allways full of tugs... just keep an eye open...

BUS and LOCAL TRANSIT : buy a six day Metro and bus card, (about $ 9.00 Euro) its all you need. Bus and metro will give you free maps of the route.
Check out our travelogues - tons of great info for your trip: http://www.thetravelzine.com
To get to the Spanish Steps, go to the train stop for Trevi Fountain and follow the sign. If you take the Spagna train, you'll be at the bottom of the steps. If you approach from the Trevi Fountain stop, you'll be at the top of the steps. As much walking as you'll do in Roma, it'll make a difference.
Keep ur bag in eye sight at ALL TIMES!!!! Lots of pick pocketters. Si means yes NO is no. Have fun try not to look like a tourist and go see the coliseum
dont get lost, keep a map with you.maybe look up some stuff on Italy, see what people are wearing, go to some of the common places for tourist, im sure they speak english. but i think it would be best to keep a italian translator book with you just in case.

Tips on how to be a better saver. Have you an advice?

I would like to save 拢100 each month but I seem to struggle to save. I don't make too much money but my rent is cheap because I go half with my live-in b/friend. How can I be sure to put 拢100 aside? Do you think it's wise to open up a saving's account? I only have a checking/current account and I save money in there.Tips on how to be a better saver. Have you an advice?
    1) Write a plan which tells you where you spend your money and what on- do this each week

    2) stick to the plan

    3) Open a savings account

    4) If you over spend one week, then next week make sure you under spend

Tips on how to be a better saver. Have you an advice?
Best way I always found was to set up a standing order to another 'saving' account. Then 'pretend' it is some kind of bill.

That way you'll be encouraged to live to the standard of the money left in your main account.

This has the double bonus of building up an easily available 'back-up' if you get into difficulties and the basis to drive down your expectations of 'standard of living'

My main advice would be to not get too bogged down with saving a fortune and don't tie yourself into a savings account that has penalties for withdrawals.

Once you get into the habit you can adjust how much you save to suit your purposes.

I am great at saving but I am not sure what advice I might give as to me it's all about common sense stuff, like 2+2 = 4.

Or, go to the shop on the left, pay 3 go to the shop on right pay 4, if you want to save, which shop do you go, left or right?

I'd have to see where and how you spend your money to see if I could improve your spendings.. Like, do you live your lights and TV on downstairs while you sleep at night? Are they 130Watts lightbulbs as well? Do you live the air conditioning on while you go to work?

Simple stuff like that, some people need to be told, I am not sure why they need to be told.

But I don't understand why some people hate credit cards or why some others *need* to borrow 拢25.000 to buy a new car when something just as functional can be bought second hand for 拢2000 cash. Etc etc etc

What do you do for food? That's where I can usually catch most people out and it's slightly too long to start educating someone on food lol.
you could also invest in a mutual fund and keep putting money into that

and in a few years you would have gained a lot of interest from it.

so you would be saving money and making it grow at the same time.

    just a thought =)
well you see where this 拢100 keeps going everymonth and you do less of where it is going if that makes sense. And just put the money in a bank account. You got to be strict with yourself if you want to save money!
I would just say think about the things you are buying and decide if you really need it, if not put the same amount of money that it costs in to your saving jar. Good luck :)
    www.martinsmoneytips.com

    Amazing very very helpful site

    xxxx
Open up a separate account and have the money you want to save get transferred without you touching it it can be done if you are strict with yourself.Good luck
Just put away 拢25 a week into a little tub and keep it closed and save it all
    Who said stop spending it.

I'm about to turn vegetarian. Any tips and advice? Thanks.?

    Hi I'm happy to help!

Congrats on your decision! I think its great :-)

I strongly recommend that you google ''The Vegetarian Society''. The Veg Society is fantastic for advice for beginners and experts alike.

I just want to say enjoy your diet, eat a variety of different foods and you won't have any problems! I believe in you, you can do it!!

Don't listen to people who may put you down. A good vegetarian diet is very healthy. I'm sure you will love your newfound vegetarianism. Keep in contact with veggie/vegan people on the vegetarian and vegan section, they will help you a lot!!

Slowly cut meat out. You will not crave meat anymore after a certain amount of time!

Best wishes :-)I'm about to turn vegetarian. Any tips and advice? Thanks.?
Before jumping in you should do some good research, research, research. There is a lot of hype and smoke on both sides of the fence, both have some truth, but that doesn't make it right. You need to eat for your type of body, period. Check out Dr. Mercola's book (or website)on metabolism for your type. Most people should not become vegetarian, it is not right for your body. The human body was designed to eat meat and plants, not just one or the other. To get the proper nutrients you need essential fats and nutrients you can only get from animals. Some say you can get it from plants, the problem is your body cannot absorb certain nutrients in plant form. Regardless of what vegetarians say, the facts are there in the medical journals. Overall I strongly suggest that you study and research and only listen to sound studies on the physiology of the human body. Vegetarianism sounds good initially, but from a physiological and biological perspective it causes damage in the long term. Its like putting ethanol into a gas engine, it will work but over time the fuel lines and other parts will fail unless you completely change those parts to handle the ethanol. Problem is you can't ex change your body parts.

Good luck and do your research.I'm about to turn vegetarian. Any tips and advice? Thanks.?
Just don't give up and don't believe people who say that it is stupid or not safe to be vegetarian. Good luck and good job!!!
    yea don't do it!
    Eat lots of carrots.
keep lots of snacks on hand, the vegetarians I know get hungry often and eat constantly
Check out the eat right 4 your type books. they have lots of good suggestions for type A blood types that could stand to benifit the most from a vegetarian diet.

you're probably thinking too much, try to relaxI cant seem to get an erection when im with my girlfriendvcan anyone give me any advice or tips thanks so much
the answers are all pretty good and caring but if off track, consider

do you actualy find her sexually attractive?I cant seem to get an erection when im with my girlfriendvcan anyone give me any advice or tips thanks so much
well you havent been specific with any details..

it could be due to stress , or a traumatic event(s) .. it could be due to tiredness, or just genreally not feeling attracted to you're girlfriend.

if you can not ever get an errection however, i would persist to go to a doctor asap.
Yep, its probably fear. Is your heart-beating really fast? Sweating? If so its probably fear or over-excitement.

You can get a vacuum pump that will force blood into your penis.

A bj can help too though
You are probably nervous that you are going to have sex. you need to calm yourself down and just breathe and think about how your doing it.
Don't worry it's acommon problem among hundreds of men.

    1. Just relax. Don't be nervous. The girl you're with should be someone you feel very comfortable with.

    2. As someone stated earlier, you must communicate, enjoy the person you're with, have fun because you and her know is going to be a very good night.

    3. If you continue to have these problems try some natural herbal pills or formulas that can help you with all aspects of common erection problems. I am not a fan of pills made up of chemicals because the chemicals in some erection pills make the problem worse. Try www.ErectionPills.info for information on erection pills.
COMMUNICATION! communication is key in love making. tell her what makes you feel good. you might also try fondling her breats, kissing her neck. think dirt tay!
just relax and enjoy the moment. if there are certain things you think you'd like let your girlfriend know what they are so you can enjoy everything as much as possible! dont be afraid to speak up.

Any advice or tips on getting over a fear of flying on planes. i usually get kinda closterphibic?

i have flown before and been fine but this time i am just really freakedAny advice or tips on getting over a fear of flying on planes. i usually get kinda closterphibic?
I have flown around the world about fifteen times; I kid you not. Each time I fly, I feel a bit nervous. But if you think about other things, the fear will be somewhat defeated. You will never be rid of the phobia, unless you build up your resistance to the closterphibic phobia itself and you can do this before you fly..Any advice or tips on getting over a fear of flying on planes. i usually get kinda closterphibic?
Go to the doctor and have him prescribe something to you.
after 911 why fly,, be afraid ..i am
Take a xanax or Valium and go for it. I can say that because I too have a fear of flying and you would have to get me to a point that I was unaware of what's going on to get me on a plane.

Incidentally, That is my only phobia.

Yes...I know plenty of men that have foot fetishes. My feet are cute, but its just that it makes me a little uncomfortable. The best thing you can do is make sure your feet are well manicured. That is what I do.
yes harmless, just make sure you dont atheletes foot. :-D your man wouldnt like that.
well if he likes feet thats his promblem let him rub yours and be happy
Sure its harmless. I also have a foot fetish and my wife enjoys her foot massage every night. I love painting her toe nails and sucking her toes (of course they have to be clean). If you allow him, it could be a great session of fore play for him and you too.
Enjoy it! My man have a foot fetish. I get pedicures all the time to keep em nice and soft for him.
    Footjob!
    Enjoy the foot rubs
Absolutely harmless. I had two bf's that were into it. One wasnt so good at it (tickled me too much). THe other was very tender and erotic with my feet. It made me want to keep them nice and pedicured and clean.

He made love to them a few times and I found that to be very exciting.

    Give it a try!
I cant pinpoint what part of me my boyfriend likes most but he likesmy feet looking pretty. So.

Lots of pedicures, pretty nailpolish, pretty sandals or cute socks with sexy boots, scented foot lotions and stockings. Give him the extra treat of watching you peel them off.
I dated this guy for a short time that had this fetish. At first I was kind of blown away cause I think I have ugly feet.

Anyways, once he got to do what he wanted with my feet, it was OK. :-)

Of course it's harmless! How much can one do with feet? UNLESS of course he is also a serial killer who cuts them off and saves them in his freezer!! lol
I have and I enjoyed it. My feet never looked better. He cut and painted my toe nails. He gave me foot massages. If the rest of our relationship had been as good as the foot rubs we would be together today.
    hi

once a girl sucked my toes.....believe it it felt as good as a ********......sure it shud feel good for the girl too.....nice to work ur way up.....

but if he just stuck at your feet for hours...then he just like the smell of it..lol

    enjoy

    Egypt travel tips and advice?

i am planning to travel to egypt in jan/feb and need some tips.general advice.

    - what are the ';must see'; places and things?

    - what will the weather be like at this time of year?

    - what is the safest and most economic way of travelling between cities? (i don't like flying)

anything else......Egypt travel tips and advice?
+ This depends. What are you interested in? Do you like to relax on the beach or learn about interesting history? And, where in Egypt are you going?

The most popular tourist attraction is definitely the Pyramids of Giza. It's fun to go there; they have camels that you ride around the pyramids, and they have a light show at night where it tells the story of the pyramids. The languages I recall for this is Arabic (of course), English, Japanese, Chinese, French... however, this is from when I visited the pyramids, which was years ago. They might have added other languages.

Good places that people usually go is Cairo, Abu Simbel, Karnak Temples, Luxor Temple, Siwa Oasis, Nubian Museum of Aswan, Valley of the Kings, and Alexandria. If you don't know what some of these are, I added links in the source so that you could look them up.

Me, personally, I haven't gone to many of these sights; I don't consider myself a tourist because I go to Egypt so much, mainly just to visit family and friends. But these sights listed above are very touristy, and many people find it interesting. It has a lot to do with Ancient Egypt, which I find very interesting myself.

However, my absolute favorite place to go in Egypt is Sharm El Sheikh. It is a city that is situated on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, in South Sinai Governorate, Egypt, on the coastal strip between the Red Sea and Mount Sinai. Sharm is absolutely beautiful; if you find a nice hotel along the Red Sea, you will have a great time. Diving and snorkeling is the best thing to do there; the fish are very beautiful and exotic. Also, the night life is quite interesting. My parents usually go to a lot of clubs during the night, and concerts, etc. Don't worry over there about the language; most people speak English down there. Expect a lot of Italians, Russians, and Polish people. Europeans LOVE Sharm El Sheikh.

Here's a link if you want to learn more about Sharm: http://tiny.cc/sharmelsheikh

+ I cannot tell you from experience, because I go to Egypt during the summer time only, but apparently the weather in January and February is pretty sunny and nice outside. It's not too hot, but it's definitely not cold. I would say it would be like the spring time for us. During the nights, it gets colder at that time. It also depends on the area where you are in with the climate. My father tells me that this is the most perfect time to go to the beach in Egypt. If you want to elaborate on this, I found a website that will definitely help you: http://tiny.cc/weatherinegypt

+ I know that you don't like flying, but driving in Egypt is TORTURE. TRUST ME. When I was younger, I was driving between cities with my family, and the driving is so unstructured and terrible. My dad honked at some guy in the car because he was acting completely insane on the road, and this crazy guy just got out of the car, jumped on the car's hood, and punched on the windshield and completely broke it. I swear, this guy would have jumped through the freakin' car if my father didn't move the car a bit. We were driving through a slum, though; it ultimately depends on the areas you drive through, so don't focus on this whole crazy windshield story too much. But flying is much easier, and much shorter. Just get a really cheap plane between cities, and flights might take approximately one hour. That is really the best way. I would not recommend buses or anything, but maybe you want to research about trains. I don't know much about them, and I do not know if they are common. That could be your best option, however, I would not know; from my experience, I would say flying. **AVOID DRIVING, AT ALL COSTS!!

    +Tips

    - I just want to warn you, driving is torture. My dad grew up in Egypt and all, but the driving is so unbearable for him that he now hires a driver every time we go to Egypt. I don't know what you wanna do about it, but I just want to warn you about that.

    - Egypt Air. Try your best to avoid this airline. It is very common for people to bring a bunch of loud annoying kids. It will drive you nuts; I would recommend, if you can, going on Egypt Air first class or business class. If you go on first or business class, it is an enjoyable flight. However, economy is to be avoided at all costs.

    - If you need to, get a translator. I don't know whether or not you would have a problem with communication, because it ultimately depends on where you go. You would not have a problem at very touristy places, but if you tend to go somewhere where it usually includes locals, communication might end up becoming troublesome. You will wanna do your homework when it comes to this.

    - Keep in mind that there are a few conservative areas maybe here and there. Again, do your homework; if you know that where your going is a conservative area, try not to wear shorts too short or anything skimpy. I'm not making assumptions, but I'm just letting you know. However, this shouldn't really be a problem. Just be aware.

    - Depending on what city you are in, night life can be a blast! There are a lot of restaurants on boats, and nice dance clubs. My parents love this. My family is in Maadi, which is right near Cairo, so we are very close to nice restaurants along the Nile, so take advantage of this! Restaurants are usually outside, some along the river; the settings are different than what you would normally find in America. It's interesting. Take note of this and look for nice restaurants in your targeted area.

*Overall, Egypt is a lot of fun; I love it and I enjoy going there. However, Egypt is not perfect and you need to plan certain things before you go. If you do your homework, you will have a blast!

I hope you have fun. Egypt is very interesting, and you should be looking forward to going :)Egypt travel tips and advice?
    The must see:

    - In Cairo, the pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian museum, Sakkara, The sound and light show at the Sphinx and a boat cruise with dinner, show and music.

    - A Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. This includes touring the 2 cities and the temples between them.

    - If you want to relax and have fun at the same time, then Sharm el Sheikh is ideal, you can enjoy see activities too.

The weather is the best at that time, sunny and warm at day time, a bit cooler in the evening. The weather is dry and pleasant.

Flying is faster and very safe. Then comes travelling by bus.
    -Must see:

*Tourism sites (pyramids , museums .. etc in Cairo , luxor and aswan (and its a long distance between them .. use the train (and always 1st class) to get there.)

*religious tour : (coptic cairo if you are christian , el qal3a and the old mosques if you are muslim)

    *nile tour .

-weather : would be cold.. not as cold as over there but still , cold! the more you get south the warmer it gets .. but not that warm too.

    -safest way: Train.
my roommate went there last year and she says

    must see

    pyramids in cairo

    alexandria

    luxor and aswan

she didnt go in jan/feb but she went in december and it was warm enough to get by with just a sweater she says.

you could take a bus from city to city but it's going to be a longggg ride.
    1. pyramids, sphinx, beaches

    2. like spring or fall weather in America or maybe warmer

    3. train

sorry for the vague answer :/
    nile cruise

    the pyramids

go to Sharm el sheik its amazing there!

i hate flying too but unless you want to take a cruise there which is hard to find i cant help you there.

    Hope I help!

Eat only when hungry and not more than three times a day unless u r diabetic. Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. I know a couple of people who have tried this diet called the Apple Patch diet, said it works awesome if your not trying to lose huge amounts of weight. They lost on average between 15 and 40 lbs. The best part is its all-natural so its not dangerous like diet pills. The apple patch website if you wanna check it out is http://www.applepatchdiet.com/ap16179/in鈥?/a>
A rice diet? Seriously? That doesn't sound healthy to me. Any diet where you are extremely limited in food choices is not wise, in my opinion. A balanced, healthy diet with everything in moderation is best.

    Lonely Guy Needs Tips/Advice?

All right so here's my deal: I'm 24, a guy, about six months post-undergraduate career, working my first full-time gig, and, well, I'm a bit lonely. I was a nose-to-the-grind 4.0 student in college, so my social life was extremely limited; it didn't help that, for economic reasons, I lived with my parents, off campus, and to be terse, they were constantly in need of my physical presence/assistance. And I'll readily admit, although I was raised to be extremely mannerly, polite, and courteous to others, I wasn't raised to be highly sociaI. know, excuses, excuses - point is, I can't honestly say that I have any friends with whom I can just call up and do things. I'm a young guy, finally pretty much on my own, getting my social life in order for the.. first.. time.

Here's the kicker: I do not/will not drink. I have a very unappealing family history (we're talking generations) in a number of ways, and alcohol factors largely into it, and thus alcohol will never be a part of my life, period, semi-colon, exclamation point.

That said, my question is, as a 24 year-old non-drinker, does anybody have any suggestions with regard to where/how I can meet people at/around the same age, and become integrated into some sort of social collective, with real friends? Please keep in mind, I'm not a prude. I'd go to bars, but I'd feel awkward as ';the-guy-who-sits-there-and-doesn't-drin鈥?Would this be weird? Another problem is that, when I'm out and about, most nightlife people travel in packs, and although I feel a bit of swagger strutting around as a lone wolf, I always feel awkward approaching strangers for conversation when I'm just sort of a free-floating singularity. Should I feel as awkward as I do?

Keep in mind, I'm not depressed, or unhappy, or anything like that: in fact I feel like one of the luckiest guys on the planet in many ways. Lots of people tell me I'm good-looking, I have a number of talents and interests that I love to do, and am fortunate enough to do fairly well; I love to exercise, I live a very healthful lifestyle, and I do really like just being around people.

I'm starting to get involved with volunteer activities, so I think this may be a start. I'm doing Match.com, and am having some success, but it's so frigging tedious, especially when you and Miss X or Miss Y are so busy that you email each other, say, twice a week. Does anybody have suggestions? Thanks...Lonely Guy Needs Tips/Advice?
Forget internet dating. It rarely works for the long term. That is if you can even get a short term out of an internet girl. It just isn't reliable. It sounds like you are on the right path. As an adult, your social groups normally consist of co-workers. You start to grow apart from your high school and college friends eventually. Volunteer work is a good place to meet others as well as church (if you're into that sort of thing), gyms, and work. Just be you. When you meet some people, be the first to invite a group to your home for a small BBQ. It may be a hit and someone else may host next time. You'll find a couple buddies who would like to hang out.

Lastly, I do not drink or smoke. But I feel completely comfortable hanging out at the bar playing pool or throwing darts drinking a coke. My buddies know me and understand that I also have a family history of alcohol abuse. They respect that. But yes, there are also times where they tease me in good fun to try and get me to drink. I just give them a smile and joke back with them, but will never pick up a drink. Don't take things to seriously. If you get uncomfortable with your social setting, then that is on you. If you get offended if someone offers you a drink, then that is on you to. Learn how to lighten up and just be you.Lonely Guy Needs Tips/Advice?
    just write a book
you didnt have any friends when u were a kid?

u just need to get invovled with other ppl even if its weird at first, it wont last long if u hang with the right kind of ppl.

  • Sex - First Time Tips/Advice?

    Hi,

I'm turning 16 soon and have been with my boyfriend for a while and I expect sooner or later we'll have sex. I really feel ready and although I'm quite anxious I'm also looking forward to it.

I really just want some ideas of what to expect generally and also pain wise. Would using a lubricant help?

Also, I've been horse riding since for about 7/8 years now and I read on a few websites that the hymen may be damaged so my first time might be less painful?

Also, any general advice and tips very welcome!!

Thanks xxSex - First Time Tips/Advice?
    Use protection, so you're not one of those ';16 and Pregnant Girls';

Usually when they say you damange your hymen from horseback riding, it means you already ';popped your cherry'; (Which means tearing the hymen) if it is really already torn you probably won't bleed or it won't hurt as bad.

But it also may hurt, so be prepared for that. Since you're young I doubt you'd need lube, like every else is suggesting. Just ease your way into it and your body will become excited (turned on) and you will become wet, and that will help it go in better.

Don't do it unless you're 100% ready, because once you loose your virginity, you can never get it back. Good Luck

p.s. someone who can't spell gynocologist probably ISNT one!Sex - First Time Tips/Advice?
16 is a very young age.. I dont understand why you would want to have sex just yet. But you are going to do it anyways. First time of having sex will be somewhat painful and uncomfortable. Even if your hymen is damaged from horse riding. You will still feel pain because riding isnt the same as having a penis inserted. Best way to feel comfortable is to take it easy.. Slow penetration until you are ready. Everything else will come naturally.
Remember that babies come out of your vagina, so it can stretch quite a lot. In theory no man is too large for any woman.

I would suggest that you follow these tips:

    1) Make sure you really are ready to do this.

    2) Do plenty of foreplay.

    3) Either finger yourself or let him do it for you.

    4) Make sure he wears a condom.

    5) If you are still not wet enough, use some lubricant.

    6) You should be on top, so that you can control the pressure.

    7) Relax and enjoy.

    Hope that helps.
DEFINITELY use protection. Its really good to use lube too, since it makes it more pleasurable and easier for him to slide in since sometimes during the first time you're so nervous that you dont get wet enough. Also, take it slow and start with missionary (him on top). You can just lie back and tell him what to do. And yes, your hymen can be damaged so it might be less painful. Lucky you. : )
Well,hun.. I just lost my virginity about 3 wks ago. It was amazing.

I am also 15, almost 16. I can tell you this.. Lube makes it sooooo much easier for the penis to slide in.

Or do foreplay. It makes you wet and ready to have sex.

It does hurt for like a few seconds once he gets deeper and deeper inside of you. If he goes real slow, your first time will be GREAT!

But yes, it did hurt for like 10 seconds,I'm not even joking.. and then when he had it in there for a lil bit,it felt SO good.
uh, it just comes natural. BUT I have to say, 16 is a little young. It might still hurt a little on the firs time, but that goes away after a while
well id make sure its not on a bed or something bc if ur hymen isnt damaged when u get ';ur cherry popped';most women bleed from it
get some ky jelly so it goes in easier.
    ur too old,
just wait til marrige that is what im doing
Sex should never be painful, the idea that loosing your virginity hurts is pure myth and for the most part it's old fashioned sexist scaremongering get girls to avoid having sex, although it's possible for it to hurt it doesn't mean it will nor does it mean you should tolerate the pain rather than stop it. A virgins body is no different to a non-virgin, the problem of pain comes when a girl isn't ready to take that step or when she isn't aroused enough for penetration, for the most part this comes from ignorance as without understanding why pain might happen there is no way for a girl to avoid it, and if she experiences pain she will just tell other girls that this myth is true, which means more girls just accept this myth rather than educate themselves.

Vagina's are amazing, they can hadle a baby so can easily take a penis, when aroused it doubles in size, opens, lubricates and muscles relax so penetration is possible and other changes makes it pleasurable. People often say loosing your virginity is painful as the vagina needs to 'loosen', but if that was true sex would always be painful as the vagina doesn't loosen, it's elastic so it stretches every time and then after sex it goes back to it's original size. Arousal prepares the vagina for sex, but often people don't understand these changes or they will rush through foreplay forgetting that it's vitally important to have painfree and pleasurable sex. Lubrication helps too if not wet enough, it's not a replacement for foreplay but it is part of safe sex as it helps prevent damage to the vagina that can cause pain and leave you at risk of STI's. If a virgin still has her hymen in tact that this thin layer of flesh that partly covers the vaginal opening can break or stretch when they first have sex, this can be painful but it is just as likely to feel pleasurable or not be noticed at all, everyone is different.

Emotions are a huge part of it too, many girls have sex because of low self-esteem so they have sex to feel attractive or loved, they have sex before they're ready to take that step so they don't enjoy it and tense up rather than enjoy the experience to become aroused, sex is then painful. This is also true if you expect sex to hurt, you will tense up so penetration will be forced causing pain as your vagina isn;t ready for penetration. Girls have these experiences, or often lack education so don't realise they weren't aroused enough for penetration, they feel pain so believe this myth of pain the first time is true and tell other girls that it's true. Know what you want and talk to your partner, demand good sex by telling him how you feel and what turns you on, enjoy whatever happens safe in the knoweldge that if it hurts you can stop, no good guy would carry on or think badly of you.

Sex is something you have to teach yourself about and you will spend your whole life learning, this sort of thing is very much basics about your body and sex so you really need to educate yourself more about your body and sex before you take that step - be resposible and mature by making sure you're educated about sex before having sex,if you don't know these basics about your body and sex then although you may feel ready you really aren't ready to have safe and enjoyable sex. Get rid of anything that reminds you of her like pictures, clothing, ..whatever. Don't talk to her text her or message her of any sort. You guys can be cool again when you stop loving or I should say get over her. It took me about 3 months to get over my ex and I didn't talk to him at all during that time and now we are cool and I have a new bf so I got over him and doing even better. So trust me even though it seems like it will never work, it will.Getting over her.. tips/advice?
If you have any mementos from when you were together (pictures, gifts, etc), either throw them out or at least put them away where you won't be looking at them.

Hang out with your friends and do fun things. You can also maybe go out and flirt with other girls. Just have fun!

DON'T go back to her if she cheated on you! I made that mistake once, and I really regret it. There are so many better people you could be with! Who wants to date a cheater anyways?
Well your pretty hot so I'm sure you can find another girl. It will take a while though to get over your last but another girlfriend would help take your mind off your ex :) hope this helped
Do something you love do or go out with your friends or family so u want have to think about her. It get easy with time.

    answer my question please

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Im so sorry!! I wish I could say something to make you feel better. I know that everyone is gonna give you advice, but no matter what its gonna take time. Go out have a fun time talk to ppl and don't bring you phone so you won't call her! I'm sure you will meet someone new by the looks of you picture. good luck!!!
i honestly hate cheaters, i mean i've reccently broke up with a bf of a year too and i still have his stuff hanging all over my room. yah i admit that i do still have feelings for him but im trying to get over with him.

i personally think that if you want to forget about someone you need to think on the bright side. let's face it, ur single now, lots of parties and girls out there waiting for you, and no guilt what so ever.

and if this relationship didn't work out, why waste ur time thinking about her still? ur right girl might slip away just slip away since ur still focusing on ur ex.

and enjoy all of our freedom of being single while you still can!
I tried all of the advice that was given to me, but i made the mistake of keeping in contact. I still hurt really bad because I love her so much.
Well the only way i got over my ex after he cheated on me. was i went out with my girls and we partied and i forgot all about him. So basically what im saying is go out enjoy yourself flirt have fun it will hopefully keep your mind off of her. Keep your options open! Go on some dates. Good Luck!

Painting bedroom...I need some tips and advice?

Okay, I'm going to remodel my bedroom and give it a Japanese and Feng Shui vibe and theme... I am having trouble deciding which color to paint the walls if I have black furniture and red, black and white room accessories (such as canvas art and a paper lantern -- mainly the Japanese Cherry Blossom)... As for flooring... should I replace my carpeting with something else? Any ideas or tips?

    Thank you in advance!

    Some tips and advice pleasee?

Okay, so i just posted a question, but now i'm wondering one more thing. I have an elliptical machine at home i can run on, but should i run around my lake by my house, or on the machine? And i'm kinda embarrassed to workout on the machine, which is in my living room. Like, i'm not embarrassed to run on it, but if my mom or my dad, or brother see me, i get embarrassed. What could i do to prevent this? Some tips and advice pleasee?
Either use it when they're not home or go out around the lake. Once you start succeeding and losing weight, you won't be so embarrassed by exercising in front of them.

Or ask your dad to move the elliptical machine to a quiet part of the hosue where no one hangs out.

    Good luck!

  • Losing Virginity Tips & Advice?

I'm 21 years old and have been with my boyfriend for over 3 years now, I have finally come to the decision that it is time...lol. So, I would love to hear any tips or advice anyone may have on how to lose your virginity in the most pleasurable easiest way possible...positions?

    Also, another question.......

About how long does it take before sex is actually pleasurable to a virgin?

Also....would it help to use my fingers beforehand in preparation for it?Losing Virginity Tips %26amp; Advice?
    1. Your own well lubed fingers are the best instruments to use for stretching yourself out and being ready. You can control them. You can't necessarily control his ';unit'; or his fingers. You need to be able to take at least two fingers, maybe three to avoid pain.

    2. Make sure that you have at least one orgasm BEFORE you allow him to attempt penetration. This will relax you and make sure you are well prepared.

    3. If you get on top you can control the pace and depth of penetration, and be able to stop if you feel you must. With him on top, there ain't no stopping, even if he promises he will.

    4. Make sure that you have time, privacy, and security. Don't want those concerns.

    5. With a caring, considerate, and patient lover, and if you are really ready, there is no reason for the first time not to be pleasurable.

Good luck. Be safe.Losing Virginity Tips %26amp; Advice?
You know what, it probably would help to use your fingers beforehand, not only to prepare for the feeling, but it may even make it not hurt. It often is uncomfortable the first time. By preparing yourself you can also figure out what you like and how you would like to be touched.

It's all about communication between you and your boyfriend. Make sure it's slow and steady and keep communicating with him during, eg how it is feeling, whether you need it slower or gentler, also how he is feeling. Good luck, and remember it only gets better with practise!
Ok well right now i have to tell you that you can't ask for tips on losing your virginity. it just happens. with the right mood and the right feeling things will just heat up and happen. but with good advice in mind you boyfriend should use his fingers to moisten you up or else it's gonna hurt. but the best advice is to just go with the flow, go with the mood and the feeling of the moment and eveything will fall into place. sex is somethen that we don't analyze and worry about how to do it. we just do it and it's ahmazing. (:
I would recommend you sticking with the missionary position the first time. Understand and accept that there will be some blood...so you can use a towel to be on the safe side. You can use your fingers beforehand but the fact of the matter is, it IS going to hurt. I can't tell you how much pain there will be, as it is different for everyone. He will be tearing the hymen. There is no way to avoid it.

It's perfectly normal to not enjoy it much the first time due to the pain. The good thing is that it will feel better the next time.
well its pretty hard question 1st I take its not your bf first time and he should probably know what to do and if at anytime you feel uncomfortable you should let him know cuz communication is everything and as to the positions well what ever works with your body and health and I think the first time is the worst but after that it gets easier so if you guys do it more than 1 that first day the more comfortable youll probably be or you could probably be in pain, who know only your body can tell you after because everyone is different and has different reactions but in anycase it should be special because regardless you will remember it for ever GOOD LUCK !!!! @ BE SAFE %26amp; USE CONDOMS AND GET TESTED SO YOUR BOTH CAN BE AT EASE
I think this is a very appropriate time to lose your virginity.

All I can say is this: Relax, don't do anything you aren't comfortable with. Move slow. Make it romantic if you want it to be perfect. Just enjoy the moment. Make sure you're in the right environment. And if you want to avoid getting pregnant, use a condom - just a reminder!

This is what you can do if you want your first time to be perfect! :)
For me the easiest way was to have yourself on top so you have control of how slow or fast he goes in and what angle and all that. Rather than having him have control, either way it will hurt but wouldn't you rather have control of the pain? And as for how long it will take to be comfy for you, really it depends on the girl but say you do it once or twice a day for a week im positive it will be enjoyable for you. But really just the motion even tho it hurts is pretty enjoyable!! hope i helped!
in my opinion cowgirl(girl on top) would be the best b/c you can control the pain, it can depend, i mean mine was fine after the second till my boyfriend decided he wanted to be rough. and it would help cuz it would loosen you up some and wont hurt as bad, but it will still hurt dont expect it to be horrible cuz (in my opinion) it wasnt bad.

    good luck and have fun

p.s. be vocal with your boyfriend and tell him if it hurts or not.
I would suggest the best position for a first timer is missionary. It allows your boyfriend to determine the amount of penetration as opposed to you riding him where he basically just goes all the way in.

There will be pain. But probably not that much. Have you ever masturbated with a dildo? If so, you've probably busted your hymen, and in this case, you won't feel much pain at all.

I would suggest a lubricated condom just to provide that extra little bit of viscosity.

    Good luck and have fun.
I've never had sex but I can answer all of these questions. Best position would be him on top. That's just how it's usually done. I think? After your first time, if painful, it'll hurt the first time you pee. Not sure why, but it will. And sex starts to feel good about the 3rd time. Atleast that's what I've heard. And to use your fingers beforehand would help loosen ya up. It will make your first time less painful and more pleasurable.

I would know, I have whores as friends :)
i would go to the cosmopolitan website for advice about sexual stuff... i cant believe that guy waited that long. thats kind of awesome hope he isnt cheating on you because you arent giving it up and you find out later. dont mean to be a bubble burster but just saying. sorry if you feel bad now. when i lost mine it hurt really bad. there no preparation much for it. if your vagina isnt big enough or stretched enough for the penis it will hurt. i suggest stay relaxed and just feel sexy and love every caress you bf will do that way you wont be tense stop thinking if you are doing it wrong. that would cause more hurting. just relax and feel free.
Mine wasn't enjoyable, shoot he went in about 3 times and he stopped, come to find out he did that to a lot of people. He had a black book I guess you would say to keep track of all the cherries he got. Now I was told if you really love somone that it will be enjoyable. The best thing I can tell you is to just relax, take it slow. set the mood, make it memorible.......... I wish I could take mine back but whats done is done. Think about how you want it set up. In a bed, at the pond, ect.......... this is something you will remember for the rest of your life.
It really depends on your pain tolerance. If you have a really low pain tolerance, you might want to wait until later to do the actual sex after you break it.

Also, foreplay really helps with pleasure, especially breaking it at your climax, since the pain is distracted.
use a lot of lube make sure he will be slow and ask him to be gental. ask him to be nice to you try having him fondel you so you will feel whts going on have hiom 4 play you that helps !!!!!!!!!! are you sure you want to do this once you are no longer avergin you wont ever be a vergin agine!!!!!!!!!!!!
its going to really really hurt you the first 2 to 3 times depening on the person takes about 4 to 5 times before you will enjoy it. I cant believe you were strong enough to wait 3 years
This website may be of some help:

you'll enjoy it right away, you little slut....
    use a lot of lube
    Well done on waiting :)

The best position to start with on your first time will always be missionary. If it's his first time too then you have nothing to worry about.. You can both get the hang of it the same rate..

Put some music on that you both enjoy.. doesn't have to be peaceful music at all.. Club, Hip-Hop, House, Rock.. anything! takes the tension off your mind..

Dont make it into like a planned routine.. like you've practised it or seomthing and don't go straight into it..

I suggest kissing to start off with.. and then just get closer to set the mood and obviously foreplay.. I would advise buying lube as it's your first time.. and put a towel underneath you incase you bleed ( don't worry - its not as scary as it sounds )

First few times may be a little painful.. and after that you both will discover new positions that are good for you and it will be extremely enjoyable and bonding :)

I really advise you to relax.. If you don't your muscles will be tense and you will be tighter and it will be less pleasurable..

Maybe a couple of glasses of wine might help.
