Tips? Advice? Easy 10 Points?

I don't know If this has anything to do with the problem but I have severe Anxiety And OCD. I often suffer from Panic Attacks with symptoms that include Nausea, Vomiting, Shaking, Dizziness, Light-headidness, And an intoxicating sense of fear.

The problem is, That when the slightest thing happens, For example, If my boyfriend doesn't tell me he loves me fairly regularly, I'll worry and believe that he doesn't Love Me at all. I CONSTANTLY need reassurance that the people close to me aren't going to abandon me, And I don't even like talking to them about it because to me, I just sound like a hindrance.

What can I do to make this a bit better for myself?

Thanks xTips? Advice? Easy 10 Points?
Have you ever tried battling these thoughts with positive constructive debate back to yourself. Example'; he didn't tell me he loved me this morn before he went to work. Come back at yourself and say Don;t be stupid he said i love you right before we went to sleep nothing happened between then and the time he walked out the door for work.

counter those negative thoughts with a positive thought in any way you can even if you call yourself stupid sooner of later you won't be so worried be cause you talked yourself out of that tree. And you will start trusting your own reassurances and not need constant reassurance from other people.

I hope you get well soon and these thoughts of mine commited to ;yahoo answers;help in a positive fashion.

Keep up the good work of taking action and recognition of your disability.Tips? Advice? Easy 10 Points?
There are things you can do to manage stress and anxiety and I am sure if you follow the advice below, you can make things a little easier for yourself. Managing stress is a lot to do with making some changes in your lifetsyle and making sure that you can relax, sleep better and so on. I went through all this and I was saved by just reserving some time for myself and leaving the office early on some days. The pressure at work was enormous and I lived in constant fear of everything collapsing around me ! Then I was hospitalized twice - it was all ANXIETY and STRESS.

I hope you get better soon and can begin to lead a less fearfiul and worrying life.

Rob

PS. Why don't you give your boyfriend a little break from the constatnt worrying and just enjoy yourselves more ? After all, he must be feeling the pressure too, so try to make it easier for him.

I definitely agree with the last answer and also wanted to add that my husband also has OCD and pretty severe anxiety/panic disorder and he has done very well with counseling and medication therapy. Talk to your regular physician about what's going on and he/she will be able to help you figure out your next step. I promise you, there is help available and there are LOTS of people out there that are going through the same things as you! Everyone deserves to be happy. I wish you the best of luck! :0)
LOL! ALL women need to be told 'I love you' every so often. They just need to hear the words. You're not unusual in that.

Counselling might help, at least it's worth a try. Also there are drugs now that really can help with OCD and panic/anxiety disorders. They work very well for some people, not so well for others. You might start with your doctor, explaining the problem and seeing if he has any ideas.

Women need to be told they're loved, guys can tell by the way you act. You obviously have problems more than just 'attitude', but you should try to learn to relax and have some confidence in yourself. Your BF loves you because you are lovable. He's not going to just suddenly wake up some morning and decide he's fallen out of love with you. If you are in doubt, give him a hug and you'll feel better right away. Learning to feel better about yourself will help a lot, though it won't solve the anxiety and OCD problems completely.

Tips/advice on becoming as pretty as possible?

I'm 14, going into high school, and i need some tips and advice on becoming prettier? Everytime i ask this question and post pictures, people never give me any tips or advice and they just say i look okay the way i am, which i KNOW there are somethings i could do to be as pretty as possible.

But i don't know what? I have reddish brown hair, super white/pale skin, blue eyes, i usually wear light or shimmery eyeshadows, mascara and a thin line of eyeliner along the top %26amp; bottom of my eye.

TIPS/ADVICE, please? thanks :)Tips/advice on becoming as pretty as possible?
confidence.

its not about how much makeup you wear, or what your outfit looks.

be happy and confident, dont care what others think of you, as long as your happy with who you are and you'll lok beautiful!Tips/advice on becoming as pretty as possible?
have an ';in style'; haircut.

dress in style.. (plaid shirts and skinny jeans are the ';in'; style right now)

with your really white skin.. i wouldnt wear to much make up. maybe a light eyeshadow.. (silver..bronze) and a little eyeliner.

Hope i helped!

btw... layers in you hair are real popular lately.
well im a guy so i have no idea what to do with makeup .. but i do know what i like on girls... im going to be completly honest... skinny, dark, long hair, not too tall or short, athletic, and responsible... i have problems with doing my work in school and im lazy so i try to have girlsriends that will keep me in check on my work... and dont be EASY.... guys love a challenge and will like you just because they cant have you.....also try o be as happy as possible always walk around smiling and laughing... not angry and crying......and honestly this is mean but kinda true... if you hang around with less attractive ppl u look a little better... but dont take it too far and hang out with monkeys
Hmm well this might sound lame but it really works! Just walk around with good posture and confidence and smile at people a lot- people will notice you and you'll leave a good impression. As for makeup I would say make your cheeks really rosey and dont go too far with the eye make up. :) Hope this helps!
dont wear eyeliner on the bottom of your eye. it makes your eyes look so much bigger. also, i find that brownish eyeshadows make my blue eyes bluer. and oh yeah, stand up straight and smile a lot
Easy. Be different. Not the bad kind of different. By different I mean, still dress nice... but have a different haircut from every other girl. Not an average one. Layer your hair, (Scene haircut.) Trust me
get in with the 'cool' group, look at what clothes they where, be ur self tho, and get a bf (always works for ur confidence)
be as clean as possible, no messy hair. and stay skinny

Tips/Advice for a beginning rock drummer?? thanks to anyone who answers?

I began drumming about 3 weeks ago, and I have a nice electric drum set and I love to bang around every day for about 2 hours. I am left-handed and play with my left hand hitting the cymbals and my right doing the snare, which is diff I know but it's just how I got started. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on how to play. I got a chance to talk to the Yellowcard drummer, but he just told me to play everyday. I play to songs by Billy Talent, Sum 41, Blink 182 (really hard ugh), Yellowcard etc... and is there any advice or tips you drummers could give me? I reallly love drumming and want to join a band one day.Tips/Advice for a beginning rock drummer?? thanks to anyone who answers?
Hey man, congrats on taking you're first step to being a great drummer... asking questions and not being afraid of asking them either! I'm a left handed drummer too and here's a few tips and hints you should know...

1. Buy a drum pad (or practice pad) if you don't have one already. It can be just as important as the drum kit itself! It can be useful for practicing rudiments and sticking patterns. It's also useful if whoever you're with needs a little break from your drumming if you know what I mean.

2. Be sure to listen and pay attention to whatever you're playing. Therefore you know if what you're playing sounds good or not and to know if your getting the details right. Even getting the smallest details right can make your drumming sound a whole lot more professional!

3. Practice at many different tempos. This will stretch your comfort zone and to recognize that different tempos require different playing approaches.

4. Realize that a good practice session should be both fun and frustrating. Fun because you're playing the drums, and frustrating because you're working on things you can't do as well as other drummers yet.

5. Try to practice every day even if it's for a short while or if it's just on your drum pad!

6. Be Patient! Becoming the drummer you want requires hard work, and drumming skills develop over many years, a lifetime, in fact.Tips/Advice for a beginning rock drummer?? thanks to anyone who answers?
well ok im a ok drummer but heres what got me going what you want is a friend who drums mine was my girlfriend playing by them they can help you out a bit but i recomend you try to play some of these songs first

Use a loose grip and good posture. Practice challenging material that you enjoy. Always keep your hands in motion. Bang your fingers on tables, do something to keep a rhythm. Focus on practicing with consistency instead of length. And have fun with it.
Start with Buddy Rich and start with jazz. Most modern rock songs can be done with one hand and four year olds. Youtube has proof of this. You will go much farther learning jazz drumming than rock.

Tips & Advice on flying with a 7 month old baby?

Am heading to California in march, my daughter will be 7 months around the time we take off we are going to California together, here the problem tho, i have never flown with a baby before and i need some tips and help on what i can bring and what to pack like how much diapers and formula and all that crap, now when i go i have to pack our clothes and the stroller and car seat but the stroller doesn't connect with the car seat will i be able to put the car seat under the plane ill only be there for only for 5 days tho, but i really need some help with this because i have no idea what i can do when i go hopefully i can get some good advice and tips on everything thank you very much

can you carry can formula on the plane with you in the diaper bag or will they take it from youTips %26amp; Advice on flying with a 7 month old baby?
I feel like I'm a flying expert. My son is 2yrs, 3 months and my daughter is 6 months. We have flown with our kids since they were each 2 months old.

I'm not sure about formula. I know you can take breastmilk through. I think if it's for a bottle, you can brink it though, just tell them. You can always make the bottle after you get through security.

Diapers- you can probably estimate how many you need. If you run out, I'm sure you can pick some up in CA, they will have plenty of stores!

You should be able to either check or gate check the car seat and stroller, and I'm pretty sure that they don't count for your checked items, meaning you shouldn't have to pay to check them. If you want to use them in the airport, you can just gate check them and wait for them after you land. I've never had a problem with this (other than getting a soaked car seat because of rain once).

Your baby should be pretty good on the plane. I've heard that the pressure shouldn't affect their ears until after 1yr old. My son has never shown any signs of hurting. But just in case, try to feed your daughter on take off and landing. Either a bottle, or something else to eat or drink. When your ears pop, you should probably give her something.

I have tried to keep my kids up as long as I can before the flight, and hold their naps until I'm in the air. That way I'm not stressed about them crying with so many people to hear. Most people are considerate, but not everyone.

Good luck!!!!Tips %26amp; Advice on flying with a 7 month old baby?
So I travelled with my son at 7 months too, I brought on wipes, diapers (you dont need a whole lot just enough to get you there, then pack the rest in your luggage) some of his favourite toys his blanket and baby tylenol just in case. You can side check your stroller which makes life much easier, so you don't have to carry her through the airport you can push the stroller right until you get on the plane, then at your destination right when you get off the plane its right there. Then just check your carseat. And because you have a baby you can bring formula just inform them what it is.
your car seat and stroller will be packed under the plane but not until you get to the gate (well, the car seat can go with your luggage). Put your car seat in a clear garbage bag to prevent it from getting dirtied up with your name on it and when you take your stroller all the way to the gate/terminal they will keep it till everyone boards then the thing will go down below.

Pack your baby a pacifier or give her a bottle on take off and landing, that's usually when the babies cry, they don't know how to pop their ears. Try to get premade formula from somewhere that sells it in exact ounces because you can't carry fluids on, you can bring powder on but the water to mix it with has to be sealed so you'll have to give your baby bottled water (which I heard is bad) so I just took the premade ones). Also, pack a few pairs of clothes too in case she has an accident and you can't get to your stuff that's checked for a while. I'd pack an outfit of your own in her diaper bag too in case she has an accident on you, that way you don't have to sit there in dirty clothes. Pack extra blankets and possibly a hat since they keep the airplanes cold and I think the strewardesses let you get up and walk your baby back and forth when the fasten light goes off.

That's about all I can think about.

Good Luck :)

(times might have changed since I flew...I guess now you can carry 3oz of liquid but when I flew it was ZERO, couldn't even take lipgloss on the plane)
How long is the ride?

Bring enough diapers to hold u over for a few hrs in the diaper bag (yes u can bring formula and the diaper bag with u on the plane).

U can put the car seat under the plane...if u have a cover for it, I would use it because it gets banged around and can get dirty.

U can take the stroller all the way to the gate with u and they will have it for u once u get off the plane.

Bring snacks and toys. The take off may bother ears..so a diaper, cup, or paci to suck on may help JUST IN CASE (wasn't an issue for mine though).

Tips & Advice - What should I do?

So it's the 2nd day of high school as a freshmen for me. I still haven't made any friends yet. What should I do? I want a friend [maybe someone in at least one class with me or will at least hang out with me at lunch] but I don't know what to do! Everyone seem to have their own friends and their own group.

No I'm not just complaining and doing nothing. I've tried talking to someone but couldn't keep up the conversation. It started with a question from me and then ended with her answer to my question. I didn't know what else to say to start a conversation.

Also, most people doesn't look like they want to be friends with me either. I'm not attractive at all so it's hard to talk to the guys and some of the girls. However, I'm going to try to become friends with the girls instead [because there are some who are nice/quiet/shy].

What should I do to make them like me and become my friend? How can I start a conversation and keep it going? I don't want to bore the other person and I don't want to attack them with questions.

Should I just build up courage to ask someone if I can hang out with them at lunch once I'm able to get a conversation going or talked to the person a bit? Or would I get rejected? Should I just wait until I talk to the person a few more times then?

I'm in need of serious help. I'm not even kidding. Today I skipped lunch (I wasn't hungry) and felt like a loner since I'm the only one without someone to hang out with. I felt so out of place/left out that I hid in the bathroom until lunch time was over.

I'm really scared I won't be able to make any friends.Tips %26amp; Advice - What should I do?
if you go to a school with a lot of people try to find people that sort of act or dress like you. People with a similar attitude. If you go to a big enough school thats the way to go. Otherwise just find a person with some common interests and make a best friend. It should get easier from there. I also agree use sports or clubs to find friends.Tips %26amp; Advice - What should I do?
If your not in any sports, maybe you should try sports or clubs... more people will notice you and itll give you something to talk about.
Go over to someone at lunch and just ask if you can sit there, if they so no, then go over to someone else, until you find someone. Also, maybe you want to try talking to someone you sit next to in a class, its hard to make good friends like that but you get your name out their and a chance to show your personality.

Also helpful hints. ..

1. I would definetaly suggest talking to girls first and easing your way into guys.

2. Get some more self-confidence, i'm sure your really pretty in your own way!
Everything will unfold as it should. I know that makes me sound like a total fortune cookie, but it's true! I just started a new school too, and I was feeling the exact same way for the first day. Chances are that a teacher will do an activity where you get put into a group. That's what happened to me today - I made two new friends!

I recommend making sure that the person that you try to sit with is very nice and not snobby. Nice people just want everybody to feel good. =)

What you're feeling is totally normal. All new kids feel that way until they find the kids they're meant to be friends with. You probably won't like to hear this, but give it a little time, and I promise that you'll find somebody. There's no way to ';make'; people like you - it happens or it doesn't. Hang in there!

Tips/advice on taking candid photos of women at the beach?

Hi, I am going to Hawaii in a few months, and I plan on taking a LOT of candid photographs of attractive bikini-clad young women at the various popular beaches over there.

I have never done anything like this before.

Have any of you taken candid beach photos of women in bikinis before, and if so, do you have any useful tips or advice?

Some things in general I would like to know:

1. Is it legal for me to take candid photos of women on the beach, or do I need to get their permission. Keep in mind, these will not be naked or topless, since beaches in Hawaii do not allow nudity of any sort.

2. Will they usually be confrontational about it, meaning I would be better off taking the photos as descreetly as possible, using a zoom-lens, or is it usually not a big deal, and I can just snap photos from a little closer without using a zoom lens.

3. Have you ever been beat up by the boyfriend of a woman who caught you taking photos of her?

4. On a sunny day during the middle of day, what would you say the best camera settings would be for me to use to get the best possible photos, as far as the shutter speed, aperture setting, and iso setting, given that I will be taking the photos by hand, and not with a tripod.

5. Any other tips or advice would be much appreciated, thanks!Tips/advice on taking candid photos of women at the beach?

Wait, you don't want people taking girlfriend photos, but you want to take photos of other guy's girlfriends?

C'mon on man, rent some videos and get off that way.

This forum is for real photographers and real questions.
Straight to # 5 - Take up macro photography, if you're close enough to do that, I'd ask for permission.
id beat the **** out of you if you started taking candid pictures of my girlfriend.
ok well.... if you honestly want these in a photography way.. you should DEFINATELY ask them before you do... because if not.. you might end up getting beat up
you're a ******* perv.

If you don't want to deal with model releases, do the following.

Photograph only peoples backs (I'm not an expert, so don't take this as sound advice. I could be wrong; you may still need a model release.

Buy an expensive telephoto lens. Like a 500mm 2.8 or something like that.

Query ';bikinis in Hawaii'; on your search engine and save yourself the cost of a plane ticket.
1. You should get a model release form signed if you intend to try to gain financially or just publish.

2. You'll find photography much more rewarding if you ask permission and get cooperation. That way you can get in close, avoid the shadows and get smiles not frowns.

3. No, but you can look forward to it.

4. Sunny day, middle of day is possibly worst time.

5. Don't.
Are you a pervert? You need to be arrested. Weather it is illiegle or not you are voilating a womans personal rights to her privacy. You may not just get beaten by the boyfriend, but if You did it to me you would not know what hit you and you would no longer have a camera which was working.

Don't do it.

Why don't you find your self a serious relationship then you can photo her, by the way she will look just as pretty with her clothes on.

So funny. You are barking up the wrong tree. That's in Florida Miami beach. Not in Hawaii. Hawaii is so far from everywhere most of the people on the beach ar locals. Hawaii is where people live and so you got moms, dads, kids, etc. There are many visitors, but they are all mostly honey-mooners (new husband always nearby), and not necessarily ';attractive bikini-clad '; - just married.

I used to live there (Maui)

Use LONG zoom lens. But again, there's not much to take. Many of the beaches are NOT crowded so people don't sit near each other. So GET A LONG LENS !!

In general, in public area, people have NO REASONALBE EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY. Shoot away. Just don't be a creep and they won't throw sand in your camera (or the boyfriends beat you up).

Bad idea. Like I said - don't be a creep and things will be ok. Just because it is Hawaii rule of common decency doesn't change from your home town.

There's no gereral rules. That is where experience kicks in. Beside just set the camera on PROGRAM MODE if you don't know what to do.

Don't get sand in your camera. I'm serious. There's a lot of wind and sand at beach. And the way you are going, lots of people are going to be throwing some at you too.

Good luck...

P.S. Hawaii is a chain of beautiful islandSSSS. There's so much to take pictures. And you want to take picture of something you can get download from your internet FOR FREE. Just enjoy the island. Go sight seeing.

You should start from the basics. Hit off a tee. Do one handed drills for better bat speed. Also never get down on your self baseball is a very challenging game.

Tips/Advice for dealing with a 14 year old boy with Aspergers??

Hi, I'm 18 and my cousin is 14. He has Aspergers syndrome and is increasingly difficult to deal with. He has a SUPER negative outlook on life, no social grace what-so-ever, and is quite demanding and attempts to be very controlling with his 9 year old sister (as well as myself at times). Sometimes if his sister bugs him even a little he will resort to hitting, kicking, pushing and says things like ';She's BEEN deserving a beating for a LONG time!!'; Also, he is horrible at listening to a word I say, whether it's in scolding or simply conversational. I nanny for the kids 5 days a week, and I just need some tips or advice on how to deal with him (especially when he gets into it with his sister). Punishments seem to have no effect but to make him even more angry. I'm nearly at the end of my rope! HELP!!!Tips/Advice for dealing with a 14 year old boy with Aspergers??
He needs discipline. Don't let things slide because he's got Aspergers. If he does wrong, then warn him of the consequences. If he carries on misbehaving, punish him and no matter how much he plays up, don't go back on your word. Be firm and persistent. Tell his parents.

Does he realize how horrible he's being to his sister ? Tell him. I have got a brother 5 years older then me and i would hate it if he was constantly getting angry at me and picking on me. Teach his sister how to deal with it. Like encourage her not to hit back and things like that. If his behavior persists, chances are his school will inform social services. Especially if he's leaving marks on his little sister.Tips/Advice for dealing with a 14 year old boy with Aspergers??
thats really hard because he actually has something wrong with him. you CANNOT let him hit his sister or you tho. talk to the parents. make sure they talk to his doctor. hes emotionally unstable. if he already hurts his sister....it wil only get worse. he might hurt her SERIOUSLY. the biggest issue is everyones safety.
Talk to the parents about it and they should give him a talk.

If they don't, just say you can't handle him.

If their talk doesn't help anything, just leave him alone and tell his sister to do the same.
srry...got nothing gor u. i was gonna say punishment, but u said it didnt work. see if his doctor could prescribe something for him

  • I am getting ready to start highschool..any tips or advice?

I am verry scared! i am scared mostly about the upper classmen thinking im weird or something...i dont want to be made fun of! please give me some tips or advice to calm me and help me through this...I am getting ready to start highschool..any tips or advice?
Honestly, upper classmen do very little if anything to be mean or whatever to freshmen. Highschool is nothing like any tv show you've seen on disney channel or anything else. It's a lot more boring and a whole lot less glamorous. Anyway, no one will make fun of you, trust me. In fact, you may even have a really good time, although expect a lot of homework! Assuming you're going to school with people from your middle school, you'll have friends already, and you can join clubs to meet more people. When I was a freshmen I was in the band, improv club, ping pong club, and some other stuff. High school just seems like this big bad thing because you don't know what to expect.I am getting ready to start highschool..any tips or advice?
I just started high school this year, and I was also worried about upperclassmen, especially since I am in the band and was around a lot of them during band camp. There are two things to keep in mind:

    1) Don't try and act like you know more/ are cooler than... the upperclassmen, they don't appreciate it, and even if you know you're right it will just get you picked on

    2) Act mature- Don't act like a dumb middle schooler or anything else, I found that by not joining in on some of the dumber antics of my fellow classmates I avoided getting made fun of by just about all the upperclassmen I encountered

And last of all, high school is nowhere near as bad as you think. You will still spend most of your time with kids in your own grade if that's who your friends are. Once you get used to being in a new school with the upperclassmen and all the changes that high school brings I'm sure you'll do fine.
I guess it depends where you go....but I'm a sophomore and I'm not really enjoying it. Last year I was mostly alone until almost by the end of the year I made some friends.

This year I was horribly verbally abused by a few seniors

(word of advice: don't think seniors are your friends, or, if they were, things will get around school pretty fast)

    Heh, w/e.

Some things are okay I guess.

As a freshman I barely knew anyone in my school, but you'll be ok.

Just, one more thing, don't think you're so cool. Don't be fake. I know a few freshman like that, and they look really stupid. Just be yourself but don't fake. It really helps.

    As a freshman I was first all ';Omg, I'm finally in high school! I'm so mature now, I'll show off!'; But now I'm like ';Screw this, who cares.';

There are stereotypes everywhere about stuff, but eventually you stop caring about what people think. And don't strive to be popular either, especially as a freshman, because it makes you look stuck up and just completely fake and retarded (I've seen, trust me). Actually the best friends you'll make would be those that most people ignore :)

This way, I have the best friends in the world now, and they even call themselves ';the misfits'; haha.
    hehe, i'm a freshmen.

it's really not as bad as everyone says it is. :]

just chill, get lost on the first day, everyone will tower over you, laugh alot, making friends is easier then you think, concentrate on your work, have fun, act stupid, don't do stupid things that could ruin your future, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...enjoy it, it doesn't last long.

First time business traveler (from DFW to Chicago)... Need tips/advice!?

As part of the internship I'm doing this summer, my store is paying for me to attend a conference at the home office in IL. (I'm in the Dallas, TX area). I've flown about a billion times before, so I don't have any worries about the actual flight, but I've never traveled for business before, so I have some questions:

    1. What should I wear on the plane?

    2. If I want to take my laptop with me, can I still carry-on a small suitcase, or will I have to check it?

    3. What's the weather like in Chicago? (I've never been further north than Oklahoma... I really don't know what the weather is like north of here during the summer.)

    4. My itenerary says ';limo'; for my transportation from the airport to the hotel. Am I going to be expected to tip the driver?

    5. My reservation is at a Hilton Gardens Inn hotel... has anyone ever stayed at one, and if so, what was your impression of it?First time business traveler (from DFW to Chicago)... Need tips/advice!?
    1. If you need to go to work directly from the Airport, you have to wear something suitable to the work you do. For example, as a computer engineer, I'd wear my comfortable black pence and comfortable shirt, and the comfortable shoes (not tennis shoes..)

However, if you fly an evening before you need to go to work - wear your most comfortable close, doesn't matter what you need to take to work...

    2. Carry your laptop in your laptop carry-on bag (do you have one?) I recommend the one with rolling weals. Yes, you can take it on the plane, don't forget to take it out of the bag for screening.

    3. In the summer, Chicago is very pleasant. low 80s maybe, sometimes it can go to 90s so be prepared.

    4. If the company directly paying the Limo driver, then I wouldn't give a tip, if you are paying and then submitting the receipt for reimbursement, then - tip the driver 5$ and ask to be included in the receipt.

    5. I stayed in Hilton Garden Inn several time, it is a very basic simple hotel, no extras, no refrigerator in the rooms, also, where I use to stay there was no breakfast (maybe things changed now) - If Hilton, then I would prefer the Hilton Homewood Suites... (I always ask our company travel department to book a hotel with a refrigerator, you can't go wrong with those kinds...)First time business traveler (from DFW to Chicago)... Need tips/advice!?
I have never traveled for buiness but I can tell you what to expect.

    2. You are usully allowed 2 carry on items so yes you can bring a laptop and small suitcase on board. Check with your airline first.

    3. If your coming in summer then tempatures range from about 80 to 100 degrees, thunderstorms are common along with the ocasional threat of a tornado. If your heading by the lakefront it should be a bit cooler but you probably won't need a jacket.

    4. I took a limo once, you should probably tip.

    5. The Hilton Garden Inns around chicago are nice they have room service and restauraunts.

    Good Luck
I don't know the answers to all of these, but here's some :)

    1. When I travel on business, I wear the same as I would when I travel any other time: something comfortable and fairly casual, but not *too* casual. Jeans and a t shirt are fine if that's what you are comfortable wearing. If you are going straight into a meeting after the flight, dress accordingly.

    2. Last time I flew in the US (which was last week) we were allowed one carry on luggage plus one ';personal item'; like a laptop, so it should be fine.

    4. I would assume so.

    Hope that helps!

My mother Or myself never cooks so I eat out Everyday %26amp; I drink alot of juice and soda. I know that I need to cut that Out but what are some other tips to help me lose weight? They would be greatly appreciated..Thankyou!Weight Loss Tips/Advice....?
    Here are a few tips;

WHEN to eat for losing weight...

鈥?Eat (at least) three times a day.

Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That's the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight... you must eat (the right things, of course)

鈥?Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.

鈥?Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.

    OK, one apple after 18:00

    鈥?Don't starve

Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.

Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.

鈥?Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast--eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.

WHAT to drink for losing weight...

鈥?Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !

Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!

This improves your bowel, reduces the ';hunger'; sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!

Don't believe the slogan ';water makes me fat';. Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.

鈥?Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squized!

Don't drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.

I thought this was not possible for me to achieve. Now... I don't even LIKE them anymore!

Nothing compares to the the smell of a fresh natural fruit juice! Not speaking about health...

鈥?Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.

    exercise for losing weight...

鈥?If you want quicker results - exercise would be good.

鈥?Don't just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts...

I guarantee THIS won't work for your weight loss...

鈥?Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don't be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants!

鈥?Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don't regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated.

鈥?Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don't shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too?

鈥?Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat.

    Good luck!

    Weight Loss Tips/Advice....?
    1. MAKE YOUR OWN FOOD. I cannot stress this enough. This is the most important item. Eating out is the absolute worst thing ever. It's really hard to find anything very healthy in almost any restaurant. Almost nothing is fresh, regardless of what they claim, and they pack so much sodium (salt, msg, etc) and other crap in there, you might as well just start drinking saltwater. Also I tend to find that many places that actually use quality ingredients are more expensive or too expensive to eat at everyday. Plus you'll save TONS of money. You can't lose here, Health plus tons of money!

    2. Quit drinking soda or anything with manmade sugar or substitutes in it, esp ';diet'; anything. Drink water or real juice.

    3. No dessert, no candy, etc...sugar is bad...maybe once a week is ok...

    3. Start exercising.

    4. stop eating too much meat and dairy and eat more fresh fruit and vegetables.

    5. Might sound ridiculous, but picture yourself in your mind as already being healthy and thinner. Your mind is your most powerful tool. Picture the end result, obsess about it, and get there. Don't think about now, how you are too big and don't like it, think about how you will feel when your losing that weight, have confidence you can do it, you've already done it in your mind. It will happen. It will take time and self discipline to accomlish this, but anything worthwhile takes time and self discipline.

    6. **** the naysayers. You can do it! Good luck!

    BBT Charting...Tips, Advice, Encouragement,...?

Here is my chart: (at least one of them should work)

    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1b22鈥?/a>

    http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1b22鈥?/a>

I just started this month, so this is like a trial chart. I was only going by cycle length the previous days of charting, and I was clearly off.

Anywho, you think my chances are pretty good?

I know it's too early to tell, but I'm just trying to be hopefull this month, but not stressful.

I do realize that this might not be my month, but next month I'll know what I'm doing better chart wise.

Thanks in advance for any tips, advice, etc. It's all welcome!BBT Charting...Tips, Advice, Encouragement,...?
It looks like you timed intercourse very well. You're chances are good! Just keep charting, even though it's a drag sometimes, and one day you will have the miracle outcome (a baby). Good luck!BBT Charting...Tips, Advice, Encouragement,...?
I know bbt charting works for many, but it's been my experience that you should stack the odds in your favor. By this I mean use as many things that are out there to increase your odds. Get Toni Weschler's book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility. She explains how to read your body's signs of showing when your ovulating by looking at your cervical mucus. It's a very simple thing to do around the time your ovulating. She even has pictures of what to look for. It's amazing that once you know what to look for how easy it is. Since your doing the BBT, both combined will be helpful in narrowing down the days you will have to ttc. Something else that helped me was the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. It's costly, around $150, but you might be able to find it cheaper on ebay. It stores your info every month and based on your input, tells you when to check (by peeing on a stick and putting the stick into the monitor) whether you are close to ovulating or ovulating. So you know the days surrounding your ovulation so you can ttc. I hope this helps and good luck!
Implantation doesn't begin until at least 6 days past ovulation. Symptoms start after implantation. You are only 3 dpo. The spotting may be from ovulation, which can happen. Also, you should have sex more often next time. You could still get pregnant though, you had sex the day of ovulatin which is good. Good luck.

Schedule your time. Get a day planner and put down your classes, appointments, etc. You need to study about 3 hours for each hour of class, so plan when you are going to do this.

Leave time for breaks and fun, then stick to your schedule.

  • No Makeup Tips/Advice?

I was wondering if anyone could give me some good skin-care/face tips/advice, since I don't wear makeup. Like, what can I do (instead of makeup) to take care of myself-skin, face etc.? I'm 14, in high school, and have tan skin, brown eyes and dark brown hair (just in case you needed to know). :-) Thanks!!No Makeup Tips/Advice?
Hey! I'm 15, I don't wear makeup either... but I'm going to ask my mom if i could tomorrow since I have to dress up for spirit week, and makeup completes my look.

First, i do my eyebrows. I got them cleaned (plucked) a long time ago at a salon, so now i know my natural arch, and i just pluck from there. (Never pluck too much! Girl's with really thin eyebrows always have to fill them in.)

I exfoliate my face every month with aspirin and water and scrub to get rid of the black heads around my nose.

I exfoliate my face once a week with olay wipes that clean under the pores.. I bought a huge pack at Costco! It's worth it. All you do is add a little water and rub it onto your face.

To wash my face in the morning, i just rinse it with water because i don't want too many cleansing chemicals on my skin.

Every morning after rinsing, i apply Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 15 moisturizer.

Then when i get home, i take out my contacts and rinse my face with just pure water again, and wipe.

For lip balm, i just bought Soft Lips w/ SPF 20.. i think. It's in Vanilla, it's clear so when it goes on .. you can't see anything. It smells really good. I think I'm going to use some now LOL.

Yep.. that's all i use. I'm going shopping this weekend for lip gloss though. I heard that lip gloss can really define the natural look.. even though it's makeup.

    Aspirin Mask Tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-Hksg8B4鈥?/a>

Well, i hope this helps! C:No Makeup Tips/Advice?
It's never too early to start using a moisturizer. After you wash your face in the morning and at night (with Dove!) use a little bit of Oil of Olay.

It's inexpensive, you can get it at the grocery store, and it's a really good product. Your face will love you!
Oh just the usual things like eating healthy and exercising regularly to get that fresh glowy look. There's plenty of home remedies out there so you could try for moisturizer or a cleanser.. personally I like to use Nivea Visage Young products because it's gentle on the skin and you get squeaky clean results. Also it helps you get into a daily skin care regime.

AND.. a little lip gloss goes a long way. Haha !!

    Female masturbation tips/advice? ?

    http://www.clitical.com/Female masturbation tips/advice? ?
There are many products on the market such as vibrators to help. They can be purchased on the internet from the privacy of your own home. Of course, there is always the manual way. But, a small one you can use discretely. The type will depend on what will satisfy you.

Dr. Ruth's web site has a lot of information on how to as well as where to find the products. You can ask her any question and she has the answer if it is about sex.Female masturbation tips/advice? ?
Every woman is super different. Rhythm is the key to all sexual interludes. Try a pulsing water head in the shower with warm water directly to your clitoris. For me? It only takes about 2 minutes that way and I'm not an easy one to bring to orgasm. If you're going to do it out of the shower, wash hands thoroughly, use unscented lubrication, visual aid (pornographic videos) or fantasy (like your partner going down on you) or something you read in a romance novel, and ALWAYS URINATE AFTER! Bladder infections are possible after contact in that region. Also be audible for yourself. Every sound you make reiterates to your body that you're having a great time!
No tips can be given for that because each person is different and self pleasure is about discovering your body.
Let a guy do it for you... That way twice as many people get to be happy :-)

Are there any tips on going to USC one can advice me?

I want to go to usc...what are some things they look at besides GPA, and SAT's? BTW, do colleges look at the California standards test ( CST) or the score of your high school exit exam??Are there any tips on going to USC one can advice me?
No, colleges do not look at CST. These exams are so easy compared to SAT's. They look at extra curricular activities, volunteers, all that type of thing. USC doesn't seem that hard to get into though as long as you have a 3.7 GPA and ALOT of money. It's a private school, with today's economy they'll have alot less applicants and will probably accept just about anyone.

Does anyone have any tips or advice for singing?

Does anyone have any tips or for advice singing? I have an assignment this week and I need advice on how to sing? What should I eat? What shouldn't I eat? How should I breathe? Should I stand up straight? Anything would be strongly appreciated. Thank youDoes anyone have any tips or advice for singing?
The first poster is correct. But the day you will be singing, avoid milk and dairy products. They can cause excess mucus, which is a bad thing when your singing!Does anyone have any tips or advice for singing?
Well I sing and You should never give up! Eat healthy thinks. Lots of Calcium. And suck all the air into your stomach as much as you can. it will go a long time them breathe when u get the chance. Its not that hard. And If you're good enough, you should try to audition for American Idol!

    good luck,

    patrick
To add some stuff onto what's already been said -

You should breathe in to your stomach and use your stomach muscles to push the air back out as you sing. If you have trouble figuring it out, try lying on your back on the floor and breathing - you'll find it difficult to use your shoulders to breathe with, and this will help your singing.

Stand straight and tall, with your shoulders back and relaxed, like you're being suspended from the ceiling by a string. Stand with your feet slightly apart and your knees slightly bent, and hold your weight a bit more on the balls of your feet so that you're not rigid.

Stay away from caffeine and dairy products (right before you sing, anyway). Room temperature water is best because it keeps the chords hydrated without cooling them down too much.

Health is very important to a singer because we carry our instrument inside our body, so if one part of us is suffering, chances are that our voice is going to suffer as well. This is especially true when we have a head cold or flu, but can be equally as true if we have back pain or something which would seem to be unrelated, because we hold ourselves differently and can cause damage by being tense. So the healthier, the better.
Watch Ike %26amp; Tina. Ike shows Tina how to sing from her stomach, not from her throat.

What you eat shouldn't matter. Breathing and posture do. Take deep breaths. Stand as straight as you can and still be comfortable. Don't smoke or be around others who smoke. If your parents smoke, you should give them a hard time about it. (';Gee, Dad, I'm trying to be a singer, but your smoke is hurting my voice!)

Find a song that you like and just sing away with it.
Yeah listen to any thing by Ace Frehley!
tips? - breathe!breathe!breathe!, sounds silly but u'd be suprised how many people forget that esp when they get nervous, stand straight to open up your throat, depending on what your assignment is, choose a song that best suits the purpose but still remain you in the equation, for exmaple if you're a crooner dont sing AC/DC or Queen and vice versa, SLEPP SLEEP and SLEEP, 8 hours a day

If I am anticipating a performance (generally the week before the performance or in between shows) i normally inhale steam for about 10 minutes before bed to lubricate my chords, if you are fortunate enough to have a humidifier use that, it works even better

Eating - if you're like me and get paranoid, then avoid all spicy foods and juices and coffee (they either build up flam or dry your vocal chords causing you to cough, coughing damagaes your chords), drink plenty of green tea with honey and on the day itself have a lunch or tea filled with carbs like pasta (no dairy), gives you the energy, you'll need it

The BEST example of contemporary technical singing at its best IMHO is Michael Buble, no apparent straining on the high notes (has to do with breathing properly), perfect posture and the ability to convey song with so much emotion

which reminds me, sing something that shows you off not highlight your weaknesses, DONT sing christina, whitney or mariah unless you;re confident you can pull it off JUST as well as then or even better (doubtful)

    GOOD luck!

Going to Tijuana in 3 wks. Any tips/advice?
    shopping. Any
    tips/tricks/adivce?

Staying in San Diego... we'll cross border there.... we mostly want to shop.. Wondering if it is safe to eat the food (tacos) and order soft drinks? Thanks for any help. :-)Going to Tijuana in 3 wks. Any tips/advice?

    shopping. Any

    tips/tricks/adivce?
We live in the San Diego area and visit Tijuana on a regular basis to buy my wife's prescriptions. Some pointers:

    1. Go during the day, when Tijuana is perfectly safe. If you go at nght you're asking for trouble.

    2. If you're driving, call your car insurance agent before you leave. Most quality companies (we have State Farm) cover you up to 25 miles across the border as part of your regular policy. So if you're only going to Tijuana you won't have to buy Mexican car insurance. BUT if you intend to drive 25 miles and 1 inch into Mexico, buy insurance at the border before you cross. One day will cost you around 12 bucks.

    3. You can walk into Tijuana easily by taking a car and parking it in San Ysidro (the town on the US side of the border), taking the trolley, which runs right to the border, or taking a cab. When you enter Mexico, walk straight ahead until you come to an area that branches off to the right. Turn right there (you'll see a McDonalds ahead!) and pass through the second set of turnstiles. You'll be in a shopping area. Walk past the McDonalds and turn right there. Ahead of you will be a small plaza surrounded by a variety of shops. If you walk straight ahead through this plaza you'll come to a series of ramps and steps that will lead you to a concrete, foot traffic only bridge across the Tijuana River, which is usually dry. As you cross the bridge, ahead of you you will see sort of a miniature version of the St. Louis arch. This marks the beginning of Avenida de la Revolucion, the main tourist shopping area in Tijuana. When you come down the ramps on the other side of the foot bridge there will be a rather ramshackle group of barrios directly in front of you. This is a great place to shop. When you're done shopping here, look for that arch - it will only be about three blocks away. Head for it and you'll be at the northern end of Ave. Revolucion. Shop to your heart's content. It's very easy to retrace your steps back to the border crossing. By the way, if you're driving, expect to spend at least one hour getting back across the border into the US (no delay getting into Mexico). If you're walking, there may still be a line, but it will never take as long to return as it will by car.

    4. You can bring one liter of alcohol and one carton of cigarettes per person back across the border with you. More than that and they will probably have you pay duty. If you purchase prescription medication, have the prescription or the previous bottle with you - the Mexican pharmacist won't care, but the customs people will. You won't be able to buy psychotropics in Mexico without a Mexican prescription, but you can get most other medications at greatly reduced prices. By the way, prescription prices vary quite a bit. We've found the lowest overall prices at the drugstore that is right in front of you on the corner as you enter through the turnstiles.

    5. There is a very large outlet mall just west of Interstate 5 at the border in San Ysidro. If you do want to get cigarettes or alcohol, buy them here and walk or drive them across the border and back. It's the best deal you'll find.

    6. Right now you only need a driver's license to cross the border. Every adult needs this or another acceptable picture ID. DO NOT forget it! That is scheduled to change next year.

    7. Don't drink the water - other than that, by all means sample the food. You haven't visited Tijuana until you've had a carne asada burrito from a little shop and a bag of churros (fried doughnut sticks sprinkled with cinnamon - one buck - no more) from a street corner vendor. Across the street from the McDonalds, near the corner, is a little shop that has outstanding carne asada and barbecued pork burritos and tacos. If you're a Pepsi products fan you're going to have a hard time - for some reason Coke has the market cornered. The Mexican equivalent of Diet Coke is called Coke Light - my wife much prefers it to her usual Diet Coke.

    8. You'll find outstanding bargains, particularly on leather goods, various types of pottery, shoes, clothing and gold and silver jewelry. You will not get the shop owner's best price until you walk out of the door. Always let the shop owner name the price. If he says $60, don't say ';I'll give you $30'; and think you got a bargain. Just shake your head and keep looking around. Last year I bought a very nice leather briefcase for a Christmas present. The shop owner started off at $120. I walked out of the store with it for $20.

    9. Oddly, there are some items that shop owners will not haggle on. Stained glass is one of them. Generally speaking, if there is actually a price marked on the item, you'll seldom get it for less.

    10. Be prepared to deal with lots of very cute and very dirty little kids, tired looking women and variously handicapped people coming up to you and trying to sell you Chiclets(?!), jewelry or all sorts of other things - or just plain straightforward begging. It's up to you how you want to deal with it. If you'd rather not, a raised hand and a firm shake of the head will nearly always send them looking for someone else - you don't have to be mean - except possibly to the turkeys trying to wash your windshield with an oily rag if you drove over.

    11. Don't worry about language - pretty much everyone you meet in Tijuana will speak and understand English just fine.

    12. When you're ready to leave, retrace your steps to the McDonalds mentioned earlier. If you're confused about how to proceed from there, just ask one of the many people you'll see heading back toward the border crossing. Don't let the flock of taxi drivers standing around convince you that you need to take a taxi. Customs is only about 5 or 6 blocks (maximum) from where you're standing.

    13. Be nice to people. Enjoy yourself. Tijuana can be lots of fun.

    14. P.S. - If you want the very best bargain, consider going early - about 9 a.m. Many of the shop owners really do believe that an early morning sale will bring them good luck and will give you an even better price than normal if you're the first paying customer of the day!

    Peace,

Radical GeezerGoing to Tijuana in 3 wks. Any tips/advice?

    shopping. Any

    tips/tricks/adivce?
hide your money well, and learn how to haggle.
I can't top Radical Geezer but ok: if you're only going to TJ walk across, driving across is brutal, but worth it if you're going further South. When you cross at San Ysidro there's a plaza with a McDonalds from there it points you towards Avenida De La Revelucion which is where you want to head, and you can hoof it, but there are taxi's who will ask you if you want a ride. You could do some spot shopping right there in the plaza, but that (in my opinion) would be to get a guideline as to what prices you're looking at to begin your bargaining. This may sound stupid but have a flip pad of paper or something that you can note prices of different things at different places . In the beginning, you think you'll remember everything but after a while EVERY VENDOR begins to look the same, they all call you sweetie, honey baby like they know you; they are very charming sales people there! And it does get confusing. It is safe to eat the food, there are actually a couple of very touristy places (Carlos N Charlies, Senor Frogs, I think even a Hard Rock {no!}) But even the little restaurants are fine - get your water in bottles and get your sodas in ice cold cans. I wouldn't get a street taco, but I eat at the restaurants all the time. But speaking of eating, if you're going to TJ and you have a car then you might want to think about going down another 40 minutes to Puerto Nuevo and having lobster, lobster lobster! It's great BBQ'd with rice and Beans and Quacamole and butter lot's of butter... OK Must be hungry. It used to be REALLY inexpensive, now it's just cheaper than anything you can get in the states, but it is great!Back to shopping:.Don't be shy about bargaining, but try to be respectful too. Alot of places mass produce stuff and that's one thing, but recognize that some people actually do craft their stuff, so just be cognizant of the fact that that is how they live. I just got the BEST salad bowl there, it's big enough for 20 salad eaters and is bright red/green/purple/blue - when I'm not using it for the salad I have it in the middle of my coffee table where I throw my magazines (Did I mention it's big?). It looks really good

like that too! It was ';originally'; $95.00 and I paid $45.00 plus 5.00 because I had a fifty... So that's my last tip: Bring LOTS of ONES AND FIVES, because there is nothing so embarassing as to bargain and bargain your price down and then ask for change from a fifty! So maybe I have topped Radical Geezer in that that last tip was golden! Have fun, you'll be safe I go there a lot by myself and I don't ever feel unsafe, but I'm also really paying attention to what I'm doing. I am always looking for like two ways around any situation...just pay attention and you'll be fine
Hi hope your looking to get drunk or pick up a hooker because that pretty much what is in tijuana! Yes, you can shop there but it's mostly junk you probably wouldn't want. unless you like knick knacks. You can eat the taco's that you see them cooking in front of you usually on portable carts. these are the best. Go to the restaurants designed for tourists you will be gouged in price and the quality is pretty bad. Well if you must you must, try to have a good time.
sounds like you are just going for shopping.

    my advice:

don't drive across - traffic is a bit different in Tijuana, and you will need to get Mexico coverage insurance for your car. you can park at the border and just walk across.

The central parts of Tijuana are fairly safe for visitors, especially during the day. Food and bottled/canned drinks are ok - perhaps avoid tap water - and ice cubes made from tap water. There's lots of good food to be had in TJ, besides just tacos.

As when visiting most places , be smart - don't flash a lot of jewelry or expensive items or money around on the street - not only are crooks attracted to displays of wealth, shopkeepers might think you are rich, and charge you more ;)

You can check out some tips for shopping here:

    and

    http://gocalifornia.about.com/od/casdtij鈥?/a>
Tijuana Mexico is a friendly place I have been there several times on the ship it is lovely you will enjoy it, you have to be their to see what I am talking about
    ola !

... i park on the u.s. side and walk over - you

won't get stuck in the traffic going back ... if

you choose to drive...do not skip getting auto insurance {even for one day}...you can get a taxi when you're there if you don't drive.

...if you have the time...it's fun to spend at least a night in ensenada ... the toll road doesn't cost much...is nice on the coast...there are reasonablely priced hotels right in the middle of the city where you can walk to many nice restaurants, shops and more. {lots to see and do and not like a border city} or roserita beach is a fun place as well...

...i have never had any problems eating in restaurants...ordering mineral water, margaritas, or soda. tourists are too important to the economy for people to get sick.

... as i've lived in san diego since 1969 i have spent alot of time in mexico...i am a vegeterian but have bought mangos and fresh coconut

    from street venders.

...bartering in the street shops where they try to get you in is expected....if you think the price is too high...walk away and often they will offer a lower price...

...lastely...if you offer a price they accept you really should buy it...you have made a deal and it is extremely rude not to keep it. {the expensive shops have set prices} +

the last lastly...careful of that cheap rollex watch from the street !

bein viejo ... have fun !!~~!
Its usually safe, but you should drink from closed containers, also, if you are going shopping, BARTER!!! lower the price to a cheaper price, many tourists dont do that and just pay the price given, lower the price, if you dont buy it for 50 percent of the original price you didnt do a good job in lowering it. If they dont want to sell it to you at a lower price, just walk away, usually you'll find someone willing to lower the price just for you. Closed container drinks, no water (unless its in a closed container, like bottled water) and food, well, all i can say is good luck if you want to go for the tacos.
Be sure if you're driving to have insurance. Don't remember how he got it, but driving in Tj you need it.

Don't order food that has been cooked with the water.. Buy bottled water, or take your own.

The vendors there expect you to bargain with them. GOt a nice woven rug there for $13 one time.. THe vendors will try to get you into their store.. and the children will follow you around for change. At least that's what they did the last time I was there.

Expect alot of walking... and if you intend to use the bathroom on the Mexico side of the border, bring your own toilet tissue. The last time I was there, we had to pay for it! Have a good time!!!!!
Lots of good places to eat and shop, my advice...walk, don't drive across the border.

sometimes when i really like a guy, its hard for me to be myself...but, thats really the only person you can be, right? just kick back and let things happen naturally, if its meant to be, it will work outHow to act round guys??????? tips...advice????
well What I did was first get some friends who r guys! and then get to know them by being friends and then chances r he will start to like you! hee hee
If you want to know how to deal with guys, you have to be open minded. Why because women are totally different with men's thinking. Plus, you have to know their interest, are you capable of getting along with them, would you be possessive or vice versa. It is indeed important to note that guys are the one responsible of getting along with girls, so you just have to look great every day and guys would be the one to think on how they should get along with you

Im taking the ACT on Saturday...any tips or advice that can help me with the test?

ACT testIm taking the ACT on Saturday...any tips or advice that can help me with the test?
have you looked at the format of the test yet? hopefully you know exactly what to expect.

the best advice i could give you is to not get scared by the science section. When you first see it, it seems intimidating but everything you need to know is right there in the passages. I suggest looking at the questions and then finding the answers in the passages. You dont even need to read the passages, actually, if you do read the passages you will run out of time.

practice math problems beforehand; make sure you remember all your math up to trigonometry

the ACT is pretty straight forward, just know the format of the test before

Tips and advice on dying my hair?

Hi, My hair is a light gold colour, recently really dark gold. And I'm going platinum, are there any brands that you suggest? and tips on how to do it ?

followed by toner: http://www.garden.co.uk/php/showProducts鈥?/a>Tips and advice on dying my hair?
I wouldn't advise it. Platinum isn't a nice shade of colour to tell you the truth. I think you should dye over it a dark blonde or maybe highlight it with different tones.

The whole ';bleach blonde'; look isn't a good look anymore, and it isn't good on your hair either.
Don't ever do a blonde with out a professional doing it. It could easily turn yellow gold or orange.
Don't do it, It'll be a pointless waste of money!

Any tips-advice on a swim date?

so i get an invite to swim with this girl i really really like during lunch. i'm just suddenly terrified at the thought! not that i don't like to, i just think im not fully prepared. i'm kinda worrying about first impressions. im no hunk (m more like stick) nor am i a real swimmer so i could probably do a couple of laps at most without appearing exhausted. any tips/advice/dos/donts would be greatly appreciated! :-)Any tips-advice on a swim date?
just go have fun. she obviously likes you, that's why she invited you!! she'll be way more attracted to you if you're relaxed and having a good time. she's not expecting you to take your shirt off and turn into the hulk, but she likes you. Enjoy it!!Any tips-advice on a swim date?
    Contact her ASAP.

Suggest an alternate event/activity. If she's looking for your company, she'll be ok to do something else.

If she simply wants a guy with her (bodyguard) while she enjoys Summer, you can do that without drowning.

Just be sure she is aware of your limitations.

If she's checking you out, and wants to see if a potential boyfriend can keep up with her in the water, you're in trouble.

    AGAIN, suggest a different activity, or let her know you will be doing MOSTLY ';watching from the water's edge.';

    Good luck.

I'd frankly mostly go to see the girl in a bathing suit.

That's me, and I'm a dirty old man.
    Don't forget your floaties....

ok seriously man...think about it, she's seen you with the shirt on, so do you really think she'll be surprised by what's underneath? If you're a stick with a shirt off, then you're a stick with your shirt on, so OBVIOUSLY she already knows you're a stick. Don't get scared-- be confident. There's nothing you can do about your swimming skills or your skinniness before your swim date.

oh and here's a great idea: if she mentions, mutters, jokes, or otherwise make ANY comments at all about your skinniness, immediately make a joke or a seemingly playful remark about one of her insecurities (such as her small breasts). It will put her on her heels and will leave her wondering about this new mysterious side of you. Plus, guess who will be WAY more insecure and self-conscious than you for the rest of the day. Then it'll at least be a level playing field, you know? I'm telling you it works. And what do you have to lose?

*ok, that last paragraph may have been bad advice.
she cant expect you to be a superhero when you take your shirt off, just like you cant expect her to be a gorgous model. just be yourself. shes proabably a bit nervous too. it'll be a lot of fun, because if you like her you can get close to her and shes not wearing much. that says that shes comfertable with you, because she wouldnt invite someone she didnt like or thought would judge her to go swimming with her and see her in pratcially nothing all wet. she likes you, just have fun and be yourself. :) %26lt;3
hahas, swim, normally, but try to make the swim strokes more appealing. =P

if u have spare time, maybe u could hop on to the pool to practice?
have fun... dont drown, dont wear tight trunks that show your bulge...play games (with floats)....try showing off abit.

    good luck
Be prepared to explain to her about shrinkage.
stop worring go out be yourself and have a good time : o )

She obviously likes you to ask you so think 1st impression is already done
well definitely go thats the most important but let her know whats bothering u so she is not surprised
    DON'T DROWN!
stop worrying, u say u like her and u didn't even have ask her out so she must b interested
jerk off in the bathroom just beforehand to try and prevent early erections
just relax, and be yourself and dont be to nervous
dnt worry ab it just be urself..if shes a good person n likes u she will like u 4

a fake crown, scepter or some such royal thing and write on the note 'if i am your princess, then you are my king'

A few years ago for a boyfriend we didn't have any money and joked that it would be lovely to go to paris for an v'day. So i dressed my uni room up like a fancy restaurant...printed the Eiffel tower out and made it look in the distance and put some pillows on the floor, red and white tea towels over it to look like a table, a candle and some rose petals (cheap as it was valentines DAY itself so knocked off) and we had a Mcdonalds lol

write him a letter telling him everything you appreciate him for and how much you love him. Make him a gift of pictures of you both in an album or a collage in a frame. Personal things mean a lot more than bought gifts

Good Luck Sweetie! I need to create my own MySpace page URGENT ! Can you plz tell me some good tips, ideas and advice, thanks?
First upload a couple of pics and maybe a video. %26amp; Don't forget to set your privacy option. (Public or private)

Think of your fave song and go to they're myspace page and at the song to your page. (EX:If you like flyleaf the URL would be Myspace.com/flyleaf or sometimes the add 'music' at the end)

Then get a colored background (for now).

Find a picture you want as your background, save it, then go to myspace profile editor, and upload to the page editor thing and use it as your background. And use whatever you want for all the other things like blog, blurbs, interests, ect.

That should do you for now.
    I can do html codes.

Choose a song that you love and don't worry if other people will hate it. Make sure you are yourself on the profile. Myspace makes it easy to do everything, except for html codes. And for the love of god, don't whore yourself out. It doesn't matter how many people are on your friends list unless they all talk to you.
hmm it would be childish if they did say something but first things first.

sign up for myspace after that heres wat chu do

    - upload some pics of yourself and other pics if you want

    - then go to music section on myspace and search a fav song/artist that you like

    - for cool layout sites go to these

    http://www.ultimatemyspace.com/myspace_l鈥?/a>

    http://www.myprofilepimp.com/

    http://www.revolutionmyspace.com/

    http://www.myspacetotal.com/

http://www.createblog.com/ %26lt;------the best site ever [has codes nd stuff..yay!]

    or just google ';myspace layouts';

    - for videos just got to myspace videos or youtube videos..ect...pick a fav vid and add it

there are also alot of codes out there to hide some things on there or make things better

where you can change the color and size of the fonts

but in order to do so you need to know ';html'; or you need to kno where to get the codes from

oh heres a nifty site too

    http://www.freecodesource.com/

hope i helped and good luck =]

  • I dream of leading a rock garage band one day but i have spasmodic dysphonia. help, tips, advice?

I can't give you a massive explanation like the first answerer, but I can say ...

Don't let anything in the way of your dreams.

=DI dream of leading a rock garage band one day but i have spasmodic dysphonia. help, tips, advice?
I looked it up on wikipedia, apparently ';Surprisingly, the spasms are usually absent while laughing, singing, speaking at a high pitch or speaking while breathing in. Stress, however, often makes the muscle spasms more severe.'; So I think you can sing pretty well, even if you have spasmodic dysphonia. I just think you need some practice, since you have spasmodic dysphonia, you'll have to work a bit harder than the rest of us, BUT if you have a great voice, and know how to sing, you'll be able to conquer this and sing kick-***.

I suggest you start with a few online singing lessons [like controlling breathing, warm-ups etc] to see what you can and can't do, then try singing along with your favorite songs and see how you do. If you are frequently short of breath, or can't hit a note, try harder, and try to achieve it. If you can't, move on to another song! This way you'll know what you can do well and what you can't do so well, and you can take that to your advantage and work on your better points and improve them!

Remember, stress makes the spasms worse, so keep off stress. Try to be happy, if singing makes you happy, you won't have spasms during singing! And that's a great thing :)

Oh, more last thing-keep off foods that make your throat sticky or affect your voice. For example, Avril Lavigne keeps off dairy foods because they affect her voice or something. So try to keep off anything that ruins your voice =]

    Good luck! =]

Please, I need tips and advice for running???? READ ME?

I am about to go running right now. This is my firts day getting into the running habit. I have always wanted to run. Running is my dream to get into. So, does anyone have any tips or advice for running? My goal is to run 4 miles every day without stopping. Any ways to work up to that? Any special programs, forms of running, websites, tips, and anyone want to just chat daily about progress I make, and if your a runner too, we could talk about your progress as well. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO ANSWERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please, I need tips and advice for running???? READ ME?
    Hey!

Running is a great sport to get in to. too bad we don't have a running category on YA. However, if you have questions this is the place to find them.

4 miles is a great goal and is easy to achieve. I have a running schedule given to me by my cross country coach. Are you involved on a cross country or track team because that is a great place to find help, get encouragement, and have people to run with you. I'm up to 4 miles a day now and once you get used to it, it's no problem.

Stretching is most likely the best way to prepare for a run. Make sure you hold each stretch for 30 sec. Make sure you stretch your calves and thighs the best. That prevents injuries.

I don't know if you have had an active background but I'll give you the first weeks of my running schedule.

    Week 1:

1/1/1/1/1/2 You can take off Sundays.

    Week2

    1/2/1/2/1/2

    Week 3:

    1/2/2/2/1/2

    Week 4:

    2/2/1/2/2/3

Those are the first couple of week that I would advise.Of course you can adjust these to your liking.

Make sure you drink plenty of water and eat right.

I would love to say in touch and see your progress. Have a great time running and I hope I helped! Please, I need tips and advice for running???? READ ME?
OK HERE IS WHAT I DID WHEN I WAS TRAINING I STARTED WALKING FOR 3 DAYS THEN JOGGING FOR ONE WEEK THEN AFTER THAT I RAN AND KEPT ON TILL I WAS RUNNING FAST AND NOW I AM ON THE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM. AND ALL THIS TOOK A MONTH SO YOU CAN NOT JUST START IN ONE DAY.
dont get hit by a car 4 miles might be to long
hey shiloh, ive been running for about 4 months now so im pretty new at it too, but my mom has been playing soccer her whole life and has givin me some great tips about running. Before you do go running, you need to stretch. When your stretching, though, only stretch far enough to where you can feel it pull and not any further. You need to stretch after you run too, it helps with the soreness and it lengthens the muscles in your legs so you look slimmer. Also, i read somewhere, that when you're running dont think about the next step, think about lifting your knees. That helps me when i dont feel like running any further. My mom also told me that to get your heart rate up faster(which burns more fat), to start off walking, then jog, then sprint, and then walk it off. keep doing that and you will get better at running longer distances. Also, after you run, you can drink a protein shake(within an hour of running) and it will fuel your muscles for the rest of the day. Make sure that your getting good running shoes, they are very important. A place i go to is Runtex, they are the experts, they watch how you walk and run and tell you what kind of shoes you need and then bring some out for you to try on. if you have one somewhere near where you live it would be a good idea to check them out. their shoes can run about $100, but its the most important about running. you dont want to mess up your feet. www.runtex.com. Remember that there is no such thing as instant gratification when it comes to getting fit, these things take time, but it is worth it. Anyways, i hope that helped, it has helped me a lot. good luck.
It's a good idea to start with a run-walk routine for the first few weeks. That means maybe the first time, you go out and run half a mile (or 5-6 minutes, whichever's easier to count), then walk half that to recover. Of course if it's too hard or too easy, you can adjust accordingly. Gradually increase your total distance on that, then start working on making your run intervals longer (such as running 1 mile, walk 1/4-1/2) and after a few weeks (well, maybe a couple months) you'll probably find that you can usually run 3-4 miles without stopping. And that will get easier if you stick with it. Once 4 miles gets easy, you might want to add one long run each week of 6-8 miles.

Many people also benefit from having one rest day each week.

www.runnersworld.com has great tips and training programs for beginning runners and also has runners' forums (including one for beginners) where you can get lots of good advice and support and connect with other runners.
Check out the link below C if they have any pointers.
Yes you need to work up to the 4 miles. Dont burn yourself out by trying to hard at the begining. I would say go for a nice 1 mile jog to start with. Slwoly working your way to 4 miles. Try adding the extra mile every month. 1 mile this month 2 miles next, 3 after that... etc. When you are running, don't think about the running, think about a song... work rpoblems you are having. Keep your breathing slow/controlled in and out. Make sure you have the proper running shoes, and dont drink a lot of water before. During the day make sure you do drink enough water, as it will help you with the running. Make sure you run in a safe place as well.
Wow, deja vu...didn't I just answer this?
The best book on beginnign running you can read is No Need for Speed by John Bingham. it will cover everything you need to know.

You can make it 4 miles but you will have to walk some at first. We all walk sometimes. Even the most experienced runners, so please do not think that walking is failing...
4 miles every other day is a very reachable goal. start slowly, listen to your body, and dont try to get to 4 miles right away.

first, get good running shoes. if you have a store that specializes in running, go there. the mall stores are no help and dont train the people that work there very well. a good running store has people that can look at your shoe wear and your stride, and recommend a shoe that works best for you so you dont hurt yourself.

or try http://www.roadrunnersports.com They have a site where you enter your weight, running style, miles you run, etc and it recommends shoes for you.

look around your area to see if there are running clubs or fitness clubs with people you can meet. running clubs have groups of people in all different levels, who get together and train for races or just for fun.

have you thought about running in a race? you can probably find a 5K (about 3 mile) race near you in the next few months. sign up for it. its a big motivation to practice if you have a goal, and you will meet other runners. it doesnt matter how fast you go, no one will make fun of you, its all about having fun and getting to that finish line.
i'm gonna be a junior in high school and i run. i remember freshman year when 4 miles seemed like a long way. just work your way up to it. go up half a mile every week. and make sure u dont run everyday. take at least one day off. your muscles need the rest.
