Apply everywhere you can! I use to hostess a restaurant when I was 17, you make hourly pay and tips at the end of the night! I also worked as a receptionist at a small car service place. When you interview, look your best, make eye contact, give a good sturdy handshake, and act like you really want the job. Tell them you are very excited to get into the workforce and act eager. Good luck!First time getting a job any advice/tips on how to get one?
Try to ';get on'; some place where you can get some help getting advanced education, possibly even a college degree. For that, the best bet is a large company, where they have committed to employee benefits. You will learn more, more quickly, however, in a small company. You need to sit down and create two lists. One list would be what you think (and can justify to someone else, using specific examples from you life thus far) are your key abilities or best features. The other list would be of the kinds of things you think you would like to get out of your working life - other than money, of course. The usefulness of these two exercises is that you will be better prepared to handle any job ';interview'; you might have. The other thing you need to do is prepare yourself for REJECTION. This could take almost any form/reason - they may simply just not be hiring; they may be hiring for people with specific skills you might not have; they may simply not like you. Don't take any of these reasons personally, since they are not your fault and you can't do anything about those reasons. There ARE, however things you can do to enhance your chance of being hired: have decent-looking clothes to wear when you go look for work; keep yourself clean and well-groomed; try to learn as much as you possibly can about the specific place you are going to apply to, before you go there. In the interview, be as up-beat as you possibly can; be ready to ask at least one question that shows you are serious about the job.
don't give up, maybe you apply job such part time, assistant at your campus
