Has anyone ever had experience camping with a baby under 1, does anyone have any advice or tips about what to bring or things that really helped them make this a fun experience for the child and the parents. It will be 3 nights. My child is only 5 months now, so i dont even know what a 7 month old is going to be like. Any tips or advice will be appreciated.
Weather- it should be around 75 for a high and 60 for a low.Camping with a 7 month old? Tips and Advice Please...?
Are you tent camping or camper camping.
Either way I would suggest a playpen to sleep/play in around the campsite.
A carrier if you want to go hiking. I have seen people with strollers on trails and I laugh at them (hard).
A few of his/her favorite toys.
Lots of extra clothes and diapering tools. The minute you run out of clean clothes is when you will get a blow-out.
A small first-aid kit with Tylenol/Motrin plus the usual things you need.
Patience, camping with children any age can be a challenge but it can also be a lot of fun. Good luck!Camping with a 7 month old? Tips and Advice Please...?
I have went camping ALOT with our son. I would suggest taking a play pen for safety purposes, we have purchased a bug net that went over the playpen, and took many types of clothes, in case of weather change. Take sunscreen (For his age) and lots and lots of Bottled water. We also had a big wheeled jogging stroller with a bug net over that, he loves the outdoors! Pack lots of snacks appropriate for a 7 month old. It doesn't take much to amuse a baby that age, so a soccer ball would be plenty enough for toys.
don't go
Oh Dear ?
A 5 mth ? he or she will ask you to take them when they are like nearly 1 yr !
Bungee Jumping at Angel Falls aged 2 ?
lol
Tie it high up in a tree. With your food. So bears cant get it. Put duct tape over its mouth incase it cries.
Cheers.
Lori had great answers :) Bring tons of diapers and warm blankies for night time or laying on during the day time. My husband and I take our baby camping alot and it's really fun. Have a great time :)
Wow you are very brave! You will need a travel cot and your buggy and some toys. I would take jars of babyfood that easy to heat up and if you are not breastfeeding take readymade cartons of baby milk, i would do as many things as possible that will make it easy for you.
Lots of blankets cos at night it can get cold and even a baby sleeping bag. If your child will only be 7 months old I would not worry too much about it being a fun experience as such for baby, as long as baby gets lots of cuddles and is fed when he hungry baby will be fine!
Take your buggy [stroller] then you can go for walks as fresh air is always good for baby.
Enjoy yourselves!!! x
