What are your tips advice for college?

Hi. I am currently a junior and high school and i am weighing out my options. Can you plzz rate me for any high institution such as stanford, ivies. Ive been reading places that i need some thing that stands out. It would be nice if I had some alum or current undergrads weigh in their thoughts//


My freshman GPA was 3.4: Will that really effect or does that look good cuz I improved a lot?


Highschool GPA Weighted: 4.33


Debate team


Swim team


Letterman, district competitions with flute (i am a guy).


Sat: 1270


Science Fair Project (Protein reactions of sea sponges)


Science olympiad (6 years


Volunteered at doctors office


Did some lab word with stanford, and UCSD proffesors.


Took some classes at UCSD.





Anything else.........I need that is the best i think i can get. Please rate fairly. (I really want stanford!!):)What are your tips advice for college?
Universities really look for students that are involved both inside and outside of school, so that helps you. The fact that you've already done work with some professors can also help you, as they can be references.

Your freshman GPA could hurt you a tiny bit, but not significantly. As long as your GPA throughout the last 3 years is 3.8+. But your SAT score...my god. Is that out of 1600? If not, you should start looking at state schools. You'll need another 1000 points to get into Ivies.
You are a little low on the SAT score, since the average for Stanford is above 1400. Also, you need to win some more awards. It is great that you do all of these clubs and things, but awards are needed.
